Awesome app

Hxjfjf

It's probably the best manga reader in the App Store. It has 5 different sources you can get manga from and most of them have a looott of manga. I do have some suggestions though. It would be really nice if we could turn on notifications for a specific manga so that everytime it updates we get a notification. I have a huge amount of favorite manga so it'd be nice if i could pick which ones i get notifications for, like webtoon does. It would become really convenient for me. Also maybe a manga to read tab would be nice. So stuff i dont want to read right now but later would be there. I'd also love to categorize my favorite manga into collections like instagram does with posts. That'd be really nice Also, manga rock does a great job at categorizing manga into featured categories. It'd be nice if we could see a categories tab where all the categories they've done so far are listed. For the licensed manga, maybe another tab for all the manga that have become licensed. Or maybe they could still be listed in the categories with their specific tabs, but we could just look for them somewhere else. It's an amazing app for manga lovers. Thanks for making it.

Now with a monthly subscription

虎猫ちゃん

Now in order to remove ads and be able to save manga for offline viewing you've got to pay a *MONTHLY* subscription of $5. This is an app that pulls scanlations from other sources and drops series that have been licensed (you can actually find some of those through the Manga Rock website instead). I feel like a one-time fee for the app "to support the app developers" is fine (was honestly about to get the premium version for just that, but then I updated and this happened... and it's a good thing I didn't pay anything before updating because it seems that people who had already paid for premium are now seeing ads). I haven't left a review on an app in so long, but I felt like this needed to be bright to attention. This is a good app if you can look past the tremendous amounts of ads and shady/inconsistent practices, and last night I honestly would have rated it 5 stars, however, I'm not happy with what they're doing now.

The best

DarkestDay23

I really appreciate this app because without it I couldn't possibly be able to read new types of manga.

4.5 to be fair

I have been experiencing some crashes which makes it lose my progress of reading the manga. The worst part was that I can not fine that manga if you can fix it that would be great.

Left in the dark

Frendog99

I really like the manga on here and I would rate 5 stars but the thing that bugs me is that I don’t know if the creators of the mangas I read are on break or they just gave up and I left in the dark and some times they take months to post more content I don’t know if it’s the app that need to be persistent with the manga or it’s the creators taking breaks. I don’t mind if they take breaks I would just like to be informed that all

Pretty good

cace123

Pretty good but needs a little more quality material

Traceless38

Gives recommendations and similar manga to what you’ve read and has a great history feature. They also have a huge overall selection and I love the story themed suggestions that appear weekly. Unfortunately I have also had several occasions where I would look for manga, even ones that have become popular anime, and can’t find them. It would be great if Manga Rock could widen their selection with those more popular series and make it so English spellings of titles found their Japanese titles too.

My. Honest. Opinion.

Backwards Dog

This review will be kinda long so if your looking to see if this app is good or not. Do it. Here I go. This App is by my opinion really good and reliable. The only things I can complain about are some copyright issues to where the popular manga have a “ no peeking, you can only see this manga on the sites we chose.” Or so I like to call it. There are a ton of gems! I’m some what of a picky person when it comes to my reading, so I tend to stick to colored mangas the most. Even with that I still dabble in the black and whites, and find myself amazed at some of them. Technical issues? Hmmm, there have been bugs....... But I’ve always had bad luck with phones so it could be a me thing. If your a phone off but still have WiFi type, I do like the way it is set up. You can download one title at a time when you have connection and if you disconnect from any type of service or internet you have all download chapters. I would recommend finding something long (about 70+ chp.) Some of my personal ranting. I dislike some of the mangas because of translations. They have it correct but won’t fix how it sounds when you read it. I still read them and eventually it gets better down the line. But I know that’s a creator issue not the app issue. And I just know how to separate the two and not blame the app. Overall if you like diving into some good reads, this is the place.
