Was Good Until Update - Crashes

Like this game, but since the last update, the app keeps crashing (screen goes black and shuts down app) when I go to battle. You should put a check in place that notices if a user crashes. If it does crash, the user should not lose rank. I’ve lost 5 matches in 30 minutes due to crashing. It’s not playable at the moment.
About the decks...

I like the game so far. It’s not what I’m used to, but I’m understanding. What I don’t like or understand is why we can’t have two colored decks. In MTG I play a Red-Green deck, it’s what I enjoy and what I’m used too. I understand having certain color Planeswalkers but even in MTG you can combine colors for better strategies. I’d like to run a Red-Green. It’s my strength.
Balance issues, no concession option

On the whole the game is well built. However, it is highly likely you will enter a match you had no prayer of ever winning. While the same can be said about the card game this is based on, that game gives you the option to concede a game rather than slowly watch your opponent grind you into dust while you’re powerless to stop it. Just one button and maybe some more refined balancing and this would be a 4 star game
Beautiful Game, but has an issue

ManaStrike is a beautiful game. The graphics are great and the gameplay is good but somewhat monotonous at times. I would recommend to the developers to add some different backgrounds (play fields) for new looks. The one major annoyance is that the game wants to do a 358 mb download every time I go to log in if I don’t play for a few hours. I have looked online and this does seem to be an issue, but I cannot find a fix. But right now I feel like I am missing login rewards because I cannot get past these continuous downloads. It’s a great game and I recommend it. Hope it works OK for you.

I played a bit through the tutorial, but didn’t even finish that. Since then I’ve been getting regular notifications from the app, using the default text tone (I HATE when lazy developers do that) basically begging me to come back. Goodbye.
I have to admit-this game is fun!

Rare 5* review from me. It’s engaging, fast-paced, brainy and most importantly fun! I’ve read some of the criticisms from other reviews and while some are well founded, I think those will be addressed in later updates. I’ve spent money for the Magic Pass because it’s a reasonable amount IMHO compared to other micro transaction games out there. For what you get in doing so, it has been worth it. I haven’t felt a progress wall yet (rank 6), have access to all the new content except for a few paywalled planeswalkers . Even so, they are not meta. It has cooldowns to obtain rewards (long ones) but I haven’t found it to be atrocious. In fact, I’m chomping at the bit to play when they’re ready. The only downside is that despite it’s 4.7 rating in the App Store, I think it has attracted whoever it’s going to since release and I fear the game won’t gain traction for long term sustainability. There are few teams (guilds) to choose and half of those players are usually inactive. Nothing unexpected from Net Marble. Time will tell.

The game is extremely addictive and well balanced on its free play vs in-app purchases. I hope to see more planes walkers in the future on top of their already wide variety. I also hope to see more choices for quick chat and emojis like “Good Game”, “Well Played”, etc. Besides those personal desires, it is a very well made and addictive game. Great job WOTC!!
