I love Magic: The Gathering, and this game has helped me become a more fluent player in real life. I love the overall app, but I’m so disappointed in the glitches that occur in Versus battles. Lately it has been crashing in the middle of duels (like four times since yesterday) which is frustrating because it affects your ranking score. I wish they’d update the app and fix things, because it’s hard to get coins to buy deck expansions without winning Versus battles, and many of the daily challenges involve winning these battles as well. I don’t want to stop playing this game :( Just wish they’d fix this.

This is essentially unplayable on any newer phone. I have a XS and the resolution is so bad I can barely see the cards. The AI is clunky too
GREEDISKING
this one is paid to win model and to get anywhere without paying is impossible. I didn’t mind paying for an app or an expansion and playing through and grinding alittle like the last app but this one is just greedy and predatory.

There is only one card in the game that lets you make an extra turn without your opponent taking a turn in rotation....... I have not seen temporal mastery one time in this game yet the computer has taken an extra turn on me multiple times to take the win. Always when I get close to level 30.........trash and I can see all cards played on the field.

It’s a really great game. Anyone who enjoys magic should enjoy this game. My only issue is when in a huge battle with many multiple different types of cards (ie: oath of the gatewatch final battle) it is really hard to pick which cards you want to attack or to block. Perhaps when attacking/blocking and when zoomed in enable the cards cycle through the available ones.

In mtg arena I had so much fun with the easy to learn controls and fluid/satisfying animations. This game felt almost completely opposite. The animations were very poorly done and everything looked cluttered. I know you can do better wizards of the coast; you are a big company and I’d personally like to have a portable magic the gathering game ready to play at my fingertips. Thanks for reading, if this was mean sorry I’m just tired it’s 2:30 am.

I was expecting an online game where I could scan my cards or plug in codes and use my real decks in the game. Sadly, I had to restart from the beginning and go through the tutorials. I also had a problem understanding the odd controls, it’s slightly different from playing in person and they do not explain how everything works. My biggest problem, though, is that I could not resume a game, for they take a long time and I need to be able to pause, turn my device off and resume later. Otherwise, it’s okay! Thanks!

The game requires you to perform missions to learn the game. For the training on blocking creatures, it attacks you with 3 creatures, but only gives you 2 creatures to use for blocking. The way the rules work, you can’t block 2 separately attacking creatures with 1 creature, even if it would survive the first attack. So, you can never complete the training step and move on to actually playing the game. Previous iterations in other years have worked fine - but they never update old games to support new OS’s, so you’re forced to download a whole new game at least every year. None of the old games work in iOS 13, so the fact that THIS one doesn’t work at all is just driving people away.
