Not welcoming to new players

I got this app to teach me how to play the game and all it did was motivate me not to ever play this card game again. It said it was on easy but I literally went 14 games in a row and never even got close to winning. I wasted too much time trying different decks and trying them out multiple times this app is dumb I definitely wouldn’t get it

Computer is too difficult

Mark1fast

I just downloaded this game. The solo versus games from easy to hard are no different. The AI gets all the clutch perfect cards and no matter how good my deck is I get either all land with no creatures or all creatures with no land. There is hardly ever any remote balance, yet the AI even on easy played two planeswalkers and killed me with all of these unique special cards. A guy that just downloaded this game that’s starting out won’t want to play this game. I think I will delete this from my phone because there is no way I’m going to spend money in the store just to get shafted when I can’t even win on easy with the cards I already purchased. I think the game looks good though, it just seems like the coding was maliciously designed to frustrate people ??. If that’s the case it’s working but I’m done playing for now until. I may check up later to see if things improved.

Not a fan

Higley

I’ve played Magic’s electronically for awhile, and I just got a new iPad and wanted to see how it ran. I’m not liking the fact that I can’t skip the “walkthrough” before I start a story mode ? it’s explains things I already know. I doubt I keep it on my device

Almost Impossible to play

Ghostofachance

It is very difficult to play using touch screen controls and a small phone. Also as a free to play player your options are almost nonexistent in ways to play. Do the campaign and hope you get enough similar play style cards to make a deck.

Hey developers, read this

Love me love you147

Sadly idk how to send notes on issues with the game. So the issue here is first, planeswalkers don’t show what their moves are. Some at least. So it’s kind of a guessing game what you are casting. I also cast a card that was suppose to take control of another card. Guess what? It didn’t. Fun game but be a ton better if the cards did their intended affect. Most do but not all and sometimes that can be crucial.

The game was great but now...

fratbiuiii

It’s been two years since an update. I get that the games old but they should add new cards or make a new game all together. Maybe make a magic arena game for the iOS.

Broken mechanics

-!mwh!-

Game starts off fun in story mode but then the AI always draws the perfect card. Don’t believe me check out the other reviews to confirm. And battle mode suffers from low population or overpowered decks leaving the newer player out of luck. Wish it was better but it’s not worth the salt and frustration.

Glitchy

Super glitchy. Nothing seems to work.

Decent, but one problem

I would make this a five star review if not for one thing that really annoys me. When I play a card that brings a card back from the the graveyard, it usually doesn’t do anything. This is bad because my deck has lots of cards that get cards from the graveyard. For instance, once I had a card that let me bring any creature card back from any graveyard. I chose a juggernaut, but instead of putting it on my battlefield, it put it into my opponent’s hand. He later killed me with it. I hope they fix the bug and other than that, the game is very good.

Skill Quests are borked

Moriturimax

The skill quests keep telling me to use cards I do not have in my hand, like “now finish him with that Fire Elemental” when I drew a Mountain. Done it to me now at least 3 times within 5 minutes of starting the game. I did finish one by restarting the whole tutorial and getting the card it demnded I use. I’ve found people online from back in 2015 who had the same exact problem with the PC version. Sad. What is even worse is that I don’t seem able to actually play the game until I finish the Skill Quests, which I can’t because the Dev’s who programmed this game screwed up the Skill Quests.
