Inconsistent

Robert W. Eckhoff, Jr.

Would love to like more, however, behavior is inconsistent and continually requires a Bluetooth reset on the Mac to work (and then no work). Repeat.

Literally does not work

PonomarevM

Entered my actual password into desktop app. Lock screen doesn’t let me in as intended when I try to unlock using iPhone app, entering password via keyboard and it’s fine.

Thank you for this beautiful app!! Works well with my early 2011 MBP*, iPhone 8 Plus and iWatch S1. *after I replaced the Bluetooth v2.0 module with a v4.0 and updated the firmware.

One of the essential app for Macbook

Update on October 23,2017 I have to revise my previous review of this product from 5-star to one star because it no longer works for the new High Sierra OS. Also, the app has not been updated for more than 5 months. It seems the developer is no longer maintain this app. I will update my rating later if it works again. //////////////////// This app is becoming better and better. I installed it a year ago when there was one or two bugs. But with every new update, it's becoming more stable and useful than ever before. It is one of the first app I would like to install for my MacBook. Just a reminder to the developer, I heard that the next version of MacBook would come with the long expected Tojch ID feature which would make this app less useful.

Doesn't work unfortunately

The idea of this app is very cool, but it has been plagued by a Bluetooth bug for like 2 years now, where it won't go past the 'connect your phone' screen. Author is very aware of this bug which seems to be fairly widespread, and blames it on Apple. I'm sure Apple probably has its fault indeed, but like how do you manage to not fix the problem in nearly 2 years? So a large share of the user base simply can't use the app? The author should be heavily invested in fixing these pesty bugs rather than providing a million different theme customizations. I would have requested my money back except I bought this a long time ago and got some use out of it before the bug showed up, so it wouldn't be fair. But this is a warning to other users considering getting this app.

Connection problems

App works for about a day. When I came back to work this morning it wouldn’t detect my iPhone. The developer seems to work on this very infrequently. It is certainly not given enough support given the app costs $4. Would recommend skipping this until the developer supports this properly, or a better app is available.

Flaky at best

.:DaMaceMan:.

When I first got this app I was in love. I even had it connected to my Pebble so that I could lock/unlock with the touch of a button. Unfortunately it didn’t take long before I started having issues which required reinstalling, restarting, and resetting Bluetooth. After a year-long hiatus and clean installs of both apps I decided to give it another try. My initial attempt was successful and it worked for a full week, last now it is completely nonfunctional and I simply don’t have the energy or motivation to try to continue fixing it. I’m not sure where the issues stem from but certainly if they haven’t been fixed by now it seems fairly unlikely that they will be any time soon. Or, indeed, that new issues will be handled with any speed.

Not working anymore
