Missing Rides

Elliq

I keep missing rides. If I’m on another app than the Driver App, a ride comes in, I try to switch back to the Driver App, and the ride that was once there for me to accept is no longer there. It’s happened more than once and I’ve tried to troubleshoot my phone. I don’t think it’s my phone after multiple troubleshooting attempts. It’s like the app refreshes once I try to switch back to it.

Lyft is just average at-best

DJH916

Here’s the problem I have with Lyft. The app itself is fairly decent but sometimes when I arrive at a customers’ destination, it can be very glitchy with Google Maps trying to figure out where I’m taking them. On top of that, I’ve had a few situations where I drive up to 8 miles to pick up a customers arrival point only to give them a ride that’s less only a couple miles. This means you’re only making $2-3 AND wasting all that gas to go pick them up. Finally, what I can’t stand is that when you pick up your customers, it doesn’t tell you how far you have to go to drop them off. Lyft should give the option of implementing a mileage radius. On one occasion, I had to take someone 65 miles from my home (which I was unfamiliar with) only to drive back to my area. So little things like this is why I am rating Lyft just 3 stars.

Not your average driver.

TeamBubblegum

It’s a fun game, but there are far too many players now. It has become increasingly more difficult to score points lately. The nice thing is that these points can be turned into currency and deposited into your real life bank account. I would give it more stars, but with the increased number of players it has actually become a very boring game in the last few months. The best time to play is during icy weather when most people can’t. Occasionally some of the passenger players are horribly intoxicated and can be very troublesome, so it can be best to avoid certain areas at certain times.

July 17 update

Murzaliev

I am disappointed with the latest update. Where is the reason that made you hide Prime Time levels. Instead, you show pink squares or how you call "Heat Map". R u serious????

Work More for Less, Oblivious Support Team

5-Star Lyft Driver

It’s getting harder, and harder to make a decent living as a Full-Time Lyft Driver. More Lyft-Lines for lower pay is not worth your time. More than 50% of rides are Lyft-lines, and Lyft will be making as much, or more money than drivers do on multiple pickups, as they receive 100% of rider fees charged, and scoop up your 20-25% commission. Prime-Time/surge pricing is also very rare and hard to get, as Lyft will tempt you to drive to a Surge area/zone, only to remove once you arrive in that area. Tempting drivers with tiny pieces of cheese will no longer work.

Great that they separated from reg app. It crashed once or twice but overall reliable

Way too many drivers in Los Angeles and The in app map needs improvement or options

LeoDragon10

Too many drivers and Los Angeles area now. Your average $2.80 a ride is well below minimum wage & not worth it. Which is great for passengers but terrible drivers trying to make ends meet. Also a suggestion for your "in app" map. It is not designed for drivers. Not sure who designed it but it was clearly not a driver. It always stays "true North". Which when you're navigating makes it difficult in complicated neighborhoods . The map should have an option to stay true North or follow the driver. In my opinion it should always follow of the driver. And The drivers "icon," map, should always stay with "The driver". It should never steer off the map. This would be a great help when locating passengers. As it is now it is very much impossible to use. I've also had several passengers complain about the map as well. Hopefully this can be an added feature soon.

Poor Driver support

all T no SHADE

I recently drove for Lyft due to a series of unfortunate events and a lack of professionalism on their employees part. They caused me to quit. They don’t care about their drivers all they care about is money. I drove for 45 minutes to pick somebody up who never showed up. I canceled because I was told to via the app and I got a five dollar cancellation fee. I called right away and somebody who didn’t speak much English answered the phone. I’ve been tried to explain to him what was going on and he refunded the five dollar cancellation fee to the passenger who didn’t show up and I drove 45 minutes to get. Getting home an hour and a half later. I called Support again and the lady that helped me didn’t even take the time to look in my account to see where I was and where he was. She then told me I had to deal with that so I told her then I guess that I’m not I’d Lyft driver anymore.
