Was better before amex took over

This app was great before American Express took over. Amex is now the only available payment method now so this app is completely useless to me!

LoungeBuddy used to be incredible. They were recently acquired by American Express and now you can only use this service if you’re an AMEX card holder. Company suicide right there.

So the only way to pay is with an American Express card, I have one but never use it until now. This might be an issue for those who do not have that card. I found the app freezes and then crashes often. Still a great way to save on lounge access though.

Every time I go to view a lounges details and scroll to read all the details, it freezes up. I then have to close the app and wAit several minutes and try again. Must be fixes ASAP to make usable.

This would be much more useful and accurate as to which lounges you can access if the following were added: reflect lounges that allow access with ticket on partner airline; better reflect access based on ticket class; build a personal profile that indicates existing access via credit cards or other membership such as Priority Pass. As it is, I’m deleting the app b/c it’s no more useful than just searching the Internet walking up to a Lounge to see if I have access (since I do have access abc therefore will never purchase a pass via this app).
WON’T SAVE TRIP PROPERLY

Seriously SICK of this app! Constantly out of date, all my trips after spending 20 minutes inputting flights one by one, WON’T SAVE!!! It only saves like 2 flights, wasting my whole time. Also won’t save all my credit card and elite credentials. BEYOND RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE. These glitches have been going on since 2016 and 3 years later still garbage!!!

Backpacking Diplomacy
I was really excited to try this app, upon checking learning that you must have an AMEX card to purchase lounge access. That’s pretty silly. I don’t have an AMEX and have no plans to get one. Any would be downloader in the same situation would do better to pass or just find a lounge through your flight or Chase Sapphire card. To the developer, unfortunately this is now a useless app to me so it will be deleted. Cheers

When traveling I use Amex Centurion Lounge when I can. When there is not one Lounge Buddy does me good. Thanks!
