Good macros tracker

LivinLifeofaBanditQueen

Only suggestion would be to add a feature that allows you to set and save your macro goals by day for those who carb cycle. It’s the one feature that makes MyFitnessPal the better option for carb cycling over Lose It. Right now with Lose It, you have to set your macros goals every single day. If it’s there, it’s not clearly labeled - my friend and I both have the subscription and don’t see this feature.

I love it but it could be better

penny wise987

There needs to be more options for servings sizes and I wish the recipe builder was better. Sometimes the only option is to select “1 serving”, which is not helpful at all if I don’t know what the serving size is. I wish there was a section for the whole container so then I could at least fraction it out. I have a similar problem with the recipe builder. It would be so much easier if I could simply copy/paste a the ingredients, manually type them in or upload the recipe

Second time using Lose It and its Amazing

Bovinity

The first time I used lose it was back in 2013 and I quickly lost 30 pounds over 5 months. The way it’s designed keeps you motivated and you end up training yourself to eat the right size portions. I love that I can log anything without judgement and as long as I stay within or under my calorie allotment, I will lose weight. No trendy hard to follow diets, just count your calories and you will lose. The database with food items is huge and if it doesn’t have a bar code, chances are someone entered that item into the database so you will have an easy time counting. Been on this for 60 days and I am down 9 points. A bit more than the target but the gameified app makes me want to do better so I have been tracking ahead of my 1 pound per week goal. I lost the 30 pounds using the free version but sprung for the subscription because I’m so grateful for this app that makes losing weight easy!

Better than weight watchers app

Amohamo

After paying for weight watchers, I switched back to lose it (free version) because it’s easier to use. Logging food is better because it remembers previous logs. The only complaint I have is the list of exercises when trying to log activity. Not too many choices. You have to log each muscle group separately. It would be nice if there was bundle like abs and arms or chest and triceps.

exercise calories disappear

samthedolly

works great for logging but my calories burned disappear the next day. this sends me over for my daily budget. kinda discouraging

App will not sync with scales

ljsecu

App does not sync with various different scales

Macro percentages are way off

displaynane

App would be perfect however the macro percentages and pie chart are way off. If I consume 20 grams of fat and 40 grams of protein, they should not have the same percentage of the total consumed.

This is great for nutrient awareness and goals

Edit: What happened to scanning nutritional information for things when the barcode doesn’t work? It used to read the data flawlessly but for the past week it can’t identify anything. Edit: their engineers responded to my work order and the problem was fixed in the next app update. Great customer service! I've been using this app for 80 days and have lost a significant amount of weight. I started out using Lose It and another popular app simultaneously but I like the appearance and ease of use better on Lose It. The bar code scanner works about 98% of the time, and the searchable database has almost everything I've ever needed. I paid for the pro version but I'm not sure it was really necessary. My wife uses the free edition and is perfectly content with it. Creating recipes and sharing makes for easy logging and the more you log the easier it gets as your list of "my foods" grows.

Great app but the low carb content is lame.

FatLabRat

You typed: "Why don’t they include low carb meal ideas that are actually low carb? The first low carb meal examples I saw had butternut squash, Yukon potatoes, etc. Definitely NOT low carb! I paid for premium, I expected legitimate content. This is one area that the developers need to revamp. Why did I have to pay extra for BAD advice.
