Update Needed!

Shannon Elaine

No app updates in two years. So many bugs and missing features. How can LJ make a comeback if developers don’t even care?

Bad

This app blows. Don’t bother!! It freezes so many times- or just doesn’t work. I can’t even get it to upload a basic entry (where I can go edit it later).

Disappointed

I’m really bummed the app doesn’t really work. It seems like it should go hand and hand with the website like FB does. I was excited to start journaling again but of the 3 posts I’ve made in the last week I can only view one on the app and I don’t see anything new, my posts or my friends on the app. See them on the web. The potential is there so it’s even more frustrating.

What happened?

Man. I used to love LJ. The site was great, I had all my friends and students on there.. then, nothing. The app won’t refresh my feed. When I go to edit, it constantly refreshes the page or reloads. Trying to even paste from notepad and then save won’t work. It just sits there. Last updated two years ago, I finally saw when I looked today. So sad. I hope the site doesn’t close before I go and manually save every memory somehow.

Worst one

This program is not working after a wile You have to delete the application and install it again Lousy one

Not even close

I just want to point out that this is supposed to be a journaling app. To not have the orientation moveable to horizontal for people on ipads who would like to actually type in an entry— right away, this app is ridiculous.

You had one job

App fails at basic things periodically. Now it’s not even able to publish a new post to my journal. That’s literally its only purpose, and it can’t even do that.

Worthless

I’ve been using my LiveJournal account since 2006. As said in another review, I can't even use this app, because when writing in the text box for posting an entry, the spot where I’m writing the text is way up off my screen. I can't see what I’m typing. I can't scroll to see what I typed. If the composition feature is barely navigable, than that means this app fails at its most basic component. It’s much easier to just use LiveJournal on a browser than this app, so why bother? Whoever designed or approved this app should be ashamed. A fully-functional composition feature is an absolute must, and a passcode protecting one’s journal and more robust community features are also necessary.

Unfortunate

Many of us keep using this app because it’s been our journal for many years. Now we’re stuck with an app that never updates and journal entries from years ago. Ugh
