Read the negative reviews- the product does not work

Mtreiser

All I can say is save your money, five bulbs none of them work. We have changed the settings on our router for days (5g-2.4g) (Channel 1,6,11) and nothing solves the onboard issue. If this was a reputable company they would have an 800 number for support/customer service. THEY DO NOT.... Bulbs show up on our network but will not connect through the app. Very expensive product to have to turn on and off manually ever night and be aggravated.

Please fix this app...

I have loved these lights since day 1 but the app.... The app is hot garbage that needs love. Had two bulbs replaced free of charge which was nice but they too have the same connection issues which makes me yet again look back at the app. If it they continue on this path I will have to change to another company and never look back.

Doesn’t connect to HomeKit

afirocks23

Straight up does not connect to HomeKit and disconnects from the app so it can’t be turned on it off from it and also deletes itself from connectivity

The lights almost never works with HomeKit

...though they does work fairly often with the app — about 75% of time. Terrible - I wish I had bought the Phillips.

Poorly thought out app overpriced lights

Slider Blake

I wanted some smart lights for a room in my house and these were the first ones I bought. What a waste of money. For one I will admit the lights work and when they do it’s pleasant, but they have a major problem requiring cloud connectivity and quite frankly they have too many problems to even be used as regular lights. One of my friends has his turn off at random intervals, my own simply require a tedious amount of managing on WiFi networks and half of the features don’t work because I don’t have internet over WiFi. It’s really problematic. What bothers the hell out of me is you need to register an account in order to use the app at all and the app is constantly trying to sell you more lights. Seriously the only good thing about these lights were the packaging, don’t waste your money.

Geo fence/Location

I have a few first generation bulbs that won't get Homekit and I've accepted that. Please add location based controls into the app for us. I'm currently using IFTTT for this but it's missing some functions. I would like my lights to turn on when I get home but only at night and turn off after a few minutes. I would like my lights to turn off when I leave but only if no one is home. IFTTT can only turn my lights on/off automatically and that's all.

Day dusk mode stopped working

Leon360x

After upgraded to the latest version, the day and dusk mode doesn’t work anymore, have to manually turn it on and off everyday, this upgrade is a disaster.

I’ve dropped $500 on Lights with underdeveloped app software.

The app is a nightmare. I’ve spent 7 hours on these Lights and they do not connect. It feel like I’m running in circles with this connectivity. All my other smart devices work flawlessly with not a single hiccup. LIFX is by far the hardest to setup. It is not user friendly. The app needs major work. $500 on these Lights and I have never been so disappointed, so far the worst purchase of 2018. A bit a background on my setup. I live in apartment, not to big. I have excellent connection throughout my entire place. I live in a Apple eco system. I use the home pod as a assistant for all smart devices. Running a AirPort Extreme router, with a net gear cm700 modem. If you have a similar setup it won’t work.

Dont waste your money

Denildo!!

In the beginning works. But later the bulb never connect to the network or cloud. Rubbish. Don waste your money
