Just doesn’t work
Ripped off by App Store again

Severe Delay time makes it useless. Shouldn’t even exist as a watch app if it isn’t going to work well

I’ve loved Lifx for years and have even bought some for my friends as gifts. But now my lights that have been working flawlessly for years suddenly decide not to pair. I have had it in the same lamp, in the same house, with the same WiFi for two years and now unprovoked it just doesn’t work. I’m not a happy customer at all. Stop all these fancy updates like HomeKit and whatnot and make sure everyone’s lights are working. I’m betting this is just a marketing ploy to get us to buy new gen lights. No. If this doesn’t get fixed soon I’m throwing mine out and switching to another brand.


Not reliable since update

I purchased my LIFX bulb to help make my early morning wake up times a bit easier. I have had very little to no issues with the bulb and alarm settings until the app update three weeks ago. The light is programmed to turn on Monday - Thursday, and it might turn on one or two days during the week; it’s like Russian roulette. I’ve reset my internet, the bulb, uninstalled the app, reinstalled the app, and nothing has changed.

Music sync often does not start the first few times you turn it on. Many effects leave a bright, annoying, red, in the way, banner across the top of the screen when I move away from the app. Have yet to find a way to disable this from cutting off the top of all my other apps like it’s more important. Lastly is audio problems. This app seems to mute other sounds from the phone like the lock noise so you don’t have to look back at it again, and whatever else it feels like.

I would have been happy to pay for a working app and maintain privacy. Handing over any contact info makes me leery of unwanted sales solicitation, or worse, having enough dots out there to be hacked. Too bad! Homekit works fine.

When these lights are paired and working, they are amazing. However most of the time they don’t stay paired with wifi. I’ve literally spent hours, and I mean hours, trying to get these light bulbs paired and then re-paired with wifi. It’s a huge PIA. If I hadn’t spent hundreds of dollars on them, I seriously would throw them in the trash and go back to regular light bulbs. Customer service??? What customer service?!? You have to send an email and someone might get back with you by sending the original instructions. What a joke. Way too expensive. Total disappointment

1 of 3 overpriced/EXPENSIVE lights that I purchased have gone out. Haven’t even had them a year with minimal usage. Don’t waste your money, as the company won’t replace, and are hard to contact. Will never buy anything from this company again. UPDATE: Company decided to contacted me via Instagram chat(?!) ONLY after I left a bad review of them and their product on Instagram. I filled out their worthless online contact form forever ago, and never received a response. TERRIBLE customer service/support.


Keeps crashing!!

Setting up the light is terrible it wouldn’t even tell me that I needed to go to my WiFi settings in my phone to set it up. I had to replace the light because of connectivity issues even though the real problem is the app. The app needs some serious working on. It keeps saying I am not paired with HomeKit even though I am.

Waste of money on 14 lights that constantly flicker and only 4 out of the 14 connect. Well until today, now none of them are connecting. Buy the Phillips brand... where they would probably switch them out or resolve the issue whereas this company doesn’t care at all.
