Failure beyond your wildest imagination

webmanwho

It’s amazing that after years and years of selling fifty dollar light bulbs, this pathetic excuse of a company cannot release an app update that does not break everything that worked perfectly fine before. Break, Fix (eventually, if you are lucky) and Repeat. Break, Fix (eventually, if you are lucky) and Repeat. No wonder most people give it one star. And that is being generous. I hate this app and this company and wish I could afford to throw away all my lifx products and start over with a different brand.

Lights won’t connect after latest update

Gmj-80

I saw lights updating when I opened app last week in July and now all 6 of my lights do not connect. I didn’t have any issues before this update on Gen 3 lights. Now I have to turn LIFX lights on manually like any other non-smart bulb. LIFX please fix immediately.

Loses day & dusk feature if you use LIFX ambience

Wannajakalpugi

I downloaded this app and LIFX ambience. While this app was working, I tried out LIFX ambience app. Lo and behold, I switched back to This app- and not only was the say & dusk feature not working, the icon was gone entirely.

Heads up when groups change?

VampireInBlack

How about a heads up when my lights are going to lose their grouping when an update comes out? My locations were all jacked up after an app update

No issues at all

The app is really awesome

Keeps losing connection to HomeKit

DBnyc

Every few hours or days HomeKit says no response and you have to unplug and replug. Basically faulty because of this

This app may cause insanity

After working, lights stop working for no reason. Then, login credentials that work on the support site, cannot authenticate on the app. Attempting to reset password does nothing. I’m trapped. With lights, that are stuck on white, that I have now grown to hate. Do yourself a favor. Stay away.

Not working

I had the light for months and since the update my light wont connect

Can’t adjust color temperature in Homekit

Deep River

I am wondering why in the Home app that I can’t adjust the color temperature of my Mini Day and Dusk light, I have to use the LIFX app. I sent their tech support a message a few weeks ago, but they have yet to respond. Anyway, if any of you experienced users know the trick please let me know. I may just have to stay with HUE.

Do something!

First purchase was made 3 years ago and didn’t have any problems. Second bulb was purchased a year ago. This was when a started to see problems occurring and thought with every update it would be fixed, but instead the updates brought even more frustration. Don’t know what I was thinking when I purchased the third bulb a few months ago. Maybe I thought that LIFX would go back to the way it use to be when I first purchased it. Definitely not. My third bulb set up was fine and working, but a few weeks later the bulb wouldn’t turn on or off through the app. It’s connection was going in and out. It wouldn’t group with the other two bulbs and then just decided to not work entirely. I followed all the troubleshooting steps to reset only to have it fail again and again. Beside all these problems, your interface is ridiculous. The app is messy and just plain weird.
