Nothing works

Shopper Online

The scenes never work, the app always has issues, lights show on when they are off, lights show they are off when they are on, can't turn off lights, lights go on their own in the middle off the night, lights won't stay on, it is very frustrating and keep swapping out switches and nothing is reliable including the bad app that constantly crashes, undiscoverable and unreliable. We had wiring issues and other issues from our original electrician. We hired an excellent electrician, switched from touch to Wi-Fi and still had issues. The late 2019 lighting control update helped the discovery problem, but the latest 2020 update brought it back and the discovery is delayed. My landscape lights go on in a scene and shut off exactly after 15 minutes. I’ve been trouble shooting for days with Legrand, my electrician has come and no one can figure out why after the latest update. I asked if they could reset me back to the previous update or if they can repair the newest issues. When my outside lights i off, my interior lights go off and that is not supposed to happen. Some lights don’t go off and some don’t go on in a scene. QMotion shades have one shade that doesn’t always work with the rest of the scenes. Lights go on their own, they lose programming and sometimes the devices get stuck with a surge even thought I pay the electrical company a monthly fee, I have a PSP H100 whole house surge protector as it comes in the house, getting a surge protector in the panel and I have a battery back up at the equipment and each device has been modified with a surge strip. Old fashioned lights always work, but these adorne look great, but I just want the lights to go on or off when I turn them on or off or scheduled in a scene. Please send a firmware update or new update so I can turn on the lights instead of manually turning them on every 15 minutes or advise what the issue could be. I switched everything to Wi-Fi to try and remedy the issues I was previously having.

Update

App is stuck in update mode, the controller is already up to date!

New Cloud Service Configuration

fwstinson

I love the Legrand controller and IOS Application. It’s true they could have done a better job with the cloud rollout. I tried for weeks to get the new cloud configuration working. Is was not going to happen from the IOS application. I finally emailed the configuration link to my desktop and used Crome explorer to configure cloud service. By my surprise it worked. Just don’t forget to release the old service from your IOS application first. I’m a system analyst by trade, so I guess I had an small advantage . I would never go to the cloud service only. My WiFi is spotty and would surly have trouble with reliability!

Really awful

putneylad

The switches look great, and if one didn’t want anything beyond that, I’d recommend them. But, as most other people have stated, the app and the integration into a smart home is atrocious. The app takes so long to “discover” the system, and then often it doesn’t. The app is so basic as to be laughable in this day and age. I have spent a lot of money on these switches, but finally biting the bullet and ripping them all out and replacing with Lutron.

Same complaints

Dirtbiker147

Same complaints as others, sometimes works great, sometimes can’t connect for weeks at a time even after resetting.

App won’t install Update!

atando2

I keep getting a prompt to update the controller, I click yes, then in the next modal, it says tap install, but nothing happens. Same issue on Android. I asked for help on Twitter, via email, and tried an online chat, but no one helped. Also, there are way too many apps for Legrand, which one should I be using?

Don’t buy!!!

unhappySFcustomer

I believed the reviews that said the prior issues with the connectivity to the mandatory (!!) were resolved but that is not true. 80% of time unable to connect to the LC7001 hub which is the only way to control the switches remotely. So 80% of the time these switches are NOT able to be remotely controlled. Will seek refund and go through the work to remove. Buyer beware - read (and believe) the bad reviews. Absolute waste of money.

Horrible

Dragswood

This system is not working or works randomly. I paid way too much money to have this system not function. Top drawer prices and promises at clearance sale performance.

App will not connect to my WiFi rework

Shaned10000

When is Legard going to address the Hub issues ? Not a single response form them. I’m very disappointed. I spent thousands on the WiFi light switches. Everything worked beautifully for 2 years but for the last year, the app will not connect to anything. The tech department has not been helpful. They say that their development department has been down due to Covid. I’m so regretful that I chose this system. It is an absolute shame that such a large company will not sharp up!! So many crappy reviews are all falling on deaf ears. I’d spend the money on the new control unit if they’d come up with it. Anything to make this work.

Started with issues and now app is defective

unhappyheater

We have always had issues with the lights not responding to the scenes properly. Now with the new update, edit or add scenes is no longer an option so we have no control over the scenes anymore.
