Love the gadgets!

This is my go to app for electronic and ambient music and HipHop, very clean sounds and great sequencer. My only suggestion would be to make it AU compatible.

Super dope...exponentially so If you hAve iOS midi controller

CAPTIVE MUSIC

Only reason for the 4⭐️ and not a 5⭐️ is the lack of support for any outside Plugins be it IAAP or auv3, which is a drag...and it itself isn’t a auv3 unit but it is available to use as Inter-app Audio for tracking into GarageBand or whatever..... also the midi Implementation isnINSANE! Every parameter of every synth(of which there are many) effect and even transport is “tap and turn” midi assignable..... and the project export options are second to few ... all in all, it is most definitely worth the 50% off sale price of $19.99... but I wouldn’t be happy if I had paid The normal 39.99. But every 2-3 months they have a 50% off sale so just wait it out and grab the Electribe wave as well for 19.99 @$40 for those 2 apps is a motha truckin steal!..... I love ya Korg my first piece o gear was a Volca beats and I’ve been hooked ever since

Waste of money!

App is not at all what was described, requires more purchases, does not look like the images shown. Impossible to use, interface is too finite and small to use on a phone. Korg is using their name ID to sell apps that are nothing like the real physical products.

Some ideas/concerns for Gadget 2

SynthJockey748

Absolutely amazing! The color scheme is great, the instruments are versatile and creative. I love the new beat sequencer and the improvements made to the sound mixer are so good! KORG Gadget 2, though it has so many pros, also has cons: 1.) The name of the song cannot be changed without having to save as! It’s really a bit of a hassle, especially since it takes up storage room duplicating a .gdproj2 file. Next time you slap a number onto the name of the software [in this case it was 2], please don’t take out a useful feature like this. 2.) Stockholm seems to be working better since the last couple of updates [it actually plays on tempo], although the preview interface is still glitchy. The red lines do not separate the slices like they should; rather, they are in all places besides where they should be. 3.) Please fix the file browser!!! It is so hard to browse files with your tiny pop-up menu. I also suggest separating the user projects and demos. 4.) Fix the MIDI. I cannot connect AudioKit SynthOne or any other app to Gadget using your MIDI out device, and Ableton Link is extremely glitchy. 5.) Add new demos! I have only seen one new demo get added in the 2 years I have had this app. 6.) You should support comments on the waveform in the GadgetCloud. This way, comments posted in the GadgetCloud will appear on the waveform in SoundCloud. You should also put a search bar in the GadgetCloud with a set of filters for tracks, profiles, top-charts, and recently added. This will make browsing so much easier. 7.) Last but not in the least bit the least, please add some effects to the mixer. In GarageBand, there is a DJ FX menu with XY pads, stops, starts/restarts, filters, and LFO effects. Installing this will be a big plus to the software. I also suggest that you guys make the iOS app compatible with Dark Mode in the upcoming iPadOS update this fall. Some type of color scheme change from the classic cool colors to warmer colors will look cool.

Amazing

Amazing

A beautiful walled garden

Gadget won’t replace a real desktop DAW, because it doesn’t have “real” audio tracks and the sequencer is relentlessly pattern-based. But as a portable groovebox, Gadget is amazing. It’s fast, easy, and fun to work with. Your results can be easily exported as stems to other software for further development. 9/10 would buy again ?

Fun music app

lmaestro

This is really fun to use one the go as a scratch pad. Can export to Ableton Live project. Note that while all descriptions say it comes with 40 gadgets, it actually comes with 20. You need to purchase the remaining ones.

Amazing app

Lucidxxrx

Hands down my favorite iOS daw to use, I’ve bought most of the extra gadgets and standalone that run as gadget. I’d like to see some more ifx and some kaoss controls... it’s 10x better on iOS than switch if you’re wondering, touch controls make more sense, things flow. Switch feels odd with a controller, and switch has no extra gadgets or ifx at all. Gadget reminds me a lot of FL studio as far as workspace and flow, very easy to copy patterns, move and edit patterns. The built in gadgets could get you through plenty of songs, but some of the purchase gadgets are well worth it and compliment the available gadgets. I’d highly recommend this, I use it more than Cubasis or GarageBand.

Love the new updates

KORG Gadget continues to develop and deliver a great sounding easy to use music production experience for the iPad and iPhone. We could use some of that DRUM MACHINE from iElectribe Wave in Warszawa in the future!

This app made me drop iMpc pro 2

Antwon la great

After I used the letdown of a app iMpc pro 2 after loving the first version I decided to look for something new. I’m glad I found this because it’s a all in one powerhouse. Luckily I got most of the add on gadgets and module on sale but without the sale it could get a little pricy. If you’re a hip hop producer download the Bilbao gadget for your drums, Vancouver to chop samples, and module to add more sounds to your arsenal.
