Not broken, don’t fix.

Garbage korg

You just changed the unison voice count from scrolling to drop-down, that’s not an improvement it was faster to scroll. It’s a small thing but it worries me that you’ll make more “improvements” that just slow things down. If you keep the scroll but just allow the drop down via a double-tap it will be the better of both worlds. Please be careful on your improvements. Why it’s perfect to me: the synth parameters are all on one page. The wave table plus vpm gives you all you could want without it getting too complicated that’s it not fun and requiring tabs, the parameters reset easily with a double tap. This is my favorite wavetable synth because of all these things. If they aren’t fun I don’t use them, if they don’t have fm I don’t use them. Please keep the power and simplicity. Suggestions: every sound could use a sub to fatten out the thinness of wavetable sync and fm type sounds, yet it’s buried, make the sub separate, an addition to the mods instead of the either/or it is now. Also an option for a more full size standard keyboard please. Other than that there isn’t much I could ask for and that’s saying a LOT, I finally have an iPad substitute for my Blofeld where Waldorf Nave failed me due to lack of fm. FM is EVERYTHING when it comes to wavetable. Thanks!

Love this app, but I want more

Myrkskog

For 15$ usd it was a good deal on the sale for what it provides as a stand-alone, but want to see even better ways to control their apps. The complaint about the metronome was addressed but it was done maliciously as it now destroys your eardrums with how loud it is. I was a bit disappointed that there’s no midi out because I love using this app as a sequencer very much. Navigation is a bit confusing but becomes familiar quickly. Instead of a piano roll, you have access to each from a row of each note with only the technical info. This can be helpful, or not at all what you want. I think it’s a pretty neat way to work because it limits you in a way, but this is just different than apps like gadget that have a very clear timeline of everything on the same page including automation. I do enjoy the point and click nature of drum sequencing as it’s super clear what you’re doing. I would rather use this than beatmaker or gadget, but the tech just hasn’t caught up. The chord pads are a step in the right direction. Still awaiting the glorious day that Korg copies BeatMaker and lets you create custom midi mappings for pads. I just want a way to quickly play a scale on my midi drum pad without having to manipulate the midi notes being sent to a scale and key. The provided scale tool is nice, But I dislike the touchscreen feel compared to my arturia beatstep pads. I use this feature in beatmaker but usually have issues routing inter app audio from Korg apps. They all could use an overhaul on the sample menus because I really don’t like scrolling through a ton of samples in a tiny little bubble without any way to search it other than snare, hat, kick, etc. I have the same issue with gadget when looking for samples in Bilbao. I am overall a huge fan of korg and just want them to be the best so I can cut out the middle men. Keep up the good work ?

Waste of money!

App is not at all what was described, requires more purchases, does not look like the images shown. Impossible to use, interface is too finite and small to use on a phone. Korg is using their name ID to sell apps that are nothing like the real physical products.

This thing sounds amazing

Sound4mation

I just wish it could be used as an audio unit:

Please Add MIDI Export

StringBean2000

I’ve tried several music making Apps -Auria Pro and Beatmaker 3 - to name a few. This is by far the easiest and most fun to use. However, it doesn’t have a MIDI export feature. So if you create 3 or 4 complex patterns in the Korg Electribe Wave and then want to export the MIDI to use in your host Digital Audio Workstation(like Digital Performer or Logic) to make a complete professional piece you can’t. You must painstakingly rekey in all your MIDI in your DAW. With MIDI export this would hands down be my favorite App, I would rate 5 stars, and it would change my life. Without MIDI export I’m reluctant to use it because it is so time consuming to recreate the MIDI by hand later. @ Korg I would pay at least twice as much for a version with MIDI export.

I think it’s great - still! AND NOW AU

anickt

Looks really nice slotted into NanoStudio 2! Might not be some people’s cuppa but it takes me in different directions than I might have gone otherwise. Easy to use and sounds GREAT! For a synth of this type I don’t want presets. There are so many ways to modulate and automate who needs them? To me this is not about making basses, pads and leads. There are plenty of places to get those. It’s more that I can make crazy sounds I’ve never heard before! No metronome? Who cares?? Lay down a simple beat and go for it! Think outside the box kids! There’s a lot you can do with this app if you tap into your creativity! BTW - I would like the song mode to loop and I haven’t heard any significant clicking that I can’t fix since the last update.

AuV3 Added

Massive that Korg has updated one of their synths to AU. It works great, all Params exposed and it will be used extensively by me from now on. Fingers crossed for the Mono/Poly next. Thank you Korg.
