Doesn’t open at all

sammygon21

The app only shows the splash screen when it’s starting and it crashes. Happened after a recent update. Used only for a couple of months then it became unusable. Wasted my money.

i really like this

Nosidel Montesino

well im a HipHop/Trap/Rap/R&B and reggaeton beat maker/producer so at first i got the electribe wave because in 2008 i bought the korg emx-1 which was my first and only analog hardware synth/drum machine instrument that i ever had and i used to love everything about it even though it was meant more for electronic music, like house, trance, techno ect, but i did a lot of hip hop beats on it and i used to use it a lot until someone stole it from me in 2015, so the electribe wave do brings me back memories just because i had the Emx-1 and even though the electribe wave its just like the emx 1, its meant more for electronic music, but its great so great that i made a complete beat from scratch in half hour after buying it and then after that i post the beat in youtube channel a few minutes later, Groove Rider its very versatile app with a nice selection of factory sounds even though i wish it had more but it is what it is, the things that i was disappointed with was the sequencer not having the option to add rolls 4T 8T 16T in any part of a pattern specially in the drum section which is essential for hip hop/Trap/Rap even R&B and Reggaeton so adding the option to do 4T 8T 16T ect will make electribe wave way more versatile for any genre, plus in song mode why not have option to edit any specific step in a pattern, without the need of to make a whole new pattern just to take out 1 kick, snare or a hi hst hit from any step in the pattern, also why just one fx for each instrument?? come on korg just one FX for each instrument and that’s it ?? i can only choose or add just 1 fx out of 10+ fx in a track why why why ? i understand korg want it to make electribe wave app to reflect the korg electribe hardware, but why not be more innovating with the apps. taking the hardware concept into a higher level with the apps, why not? and with that in mind why not 8 extra drum pads, what would be great because other the 1.kick 2. snare 3. clap 4. tom 5. open hat 6. close hat 7. crash 8. ride but what about 9. chants 10. raisers 11. impacts 12. maybe another hihat 13 and 14. a perc or two 15, a sample fx 16. 808 bass samples,,,,,, i mean a normal that is almost all the tracks that any hiphop-trap beat maker will need to complete a full instrumental, i know i definitely do use that many tracks, from 8 to 10 instrument pads and 16 Drum pads at least and then i would think the app its fully completed and officially a top of the line app

Nice app

QuinnX.

As audio unit it is available as a single wavetable. It would be nice to have aces to patches/programs and drums

Love it, issues with Korg NanoKey

DillionL

This is a fully functional groovebox with just as much if not more features than a standard all in one device. I’ve been using this with my Korg NanoKey Studio. Awesome pairing but it seems the knobs and pad buttons don’t work about half the time I connect it. Disconnecting and reconnecting seems to fix the issue. Still a bit annoying though

Not user friendly

Maddmike64

I’m sorry. I love korg stuff. But this was a headache to figure out. Not user friendly and would like my money back.

Amp Reset?

crypt0nym

I love this synth! I cut my teeth doing experimental music with a green Korg ES-1 back in the 00s and have really enjoyed making music in the Korg grove box format again. This app really feels like an instrument and I have fun playing it whether I’m working on something serious or just messing around. It sounds very, very good. If I could ask for one feature for the dev team to consider it would be to add another poly voice mode where the amp doesn’t reset to 0 when you play a note a second time. Sometimes called ‘analog amp’. I often use this for generative ambient music (because it’s 8 wavetable synths ?) but the amp volume resetting and clicking kills the mood. Good thing I also love to abuse this thing in mono mode with extreme FM settings and make it scream. Don’t hear any clicks over the beautiful noise! Any chance we can get presets in AUV3 at some point? see it in action on my YouTube channel called ‘cryptonym’

Disappointed

AshFallenBrightly

Thought there would be some real wavetable magic here. Boring, cliche, already sounds outdated with the sequences and beats. Thought this was a wavetable synth, as well. Stick with Waldorfs Nave. Anything PPG as well. Or, even Korgs Wavestation iOS app that doesn't let you exchange programs with the VSTi like iM1 does. Jeez....

Nice job Korg

mikenoface

Overall an outstanding new addition to the Electribe series. The only requests I would make are to allow importing more drum kits or user samples, and possibly user wavetables. Maybe some kind of additional integration with Gadget, but overall really fun and impressive. :)
