The next generation ELECTRIBE produces state-of-the-art dance music.

The ELECTRIBE series first appeared in 1999. Since then each generation has inherited the iconic, intuitive operability of the original while incorporating the most up-to-date sounds and styles.

The ease of use, accessibility, sound and musicality of the ELECTRIBE reach new heights in this latest software version which features a powerful wavetable sound source, a “Quick Input” sequencer and a convenient chord pad that allows you to play a chord with one finger. Even if you aren't a musical virtuoso, with ELECTRIBE Wave you can create state-of-the-art dance music like EDM, Future Bass, and Trap.

• Powerful wavetable sound suitable for the latest in EDM
ELECTRIBE Wave has a sound wavetable featuring sounds widely used in the latest music creation. Unlike a PCM synth, the wavetable allows you to repeatedly play fragments of short waveforms, and change the waveform position during playback. By combining the wavetable (which features a rich variety of presets) with a powerful filter and two modulation units, you can create an infinite number of innovative and sharp sounds that cannot be produced using standard PCM synths. Even without a deep knowledge of synthesis techniques, the carefully selected parameters make it easy to craft your sound.

• Improved user interface for quick composition
The familiar 16-step pad in the ELECTRIBE series enables speedy rhythm production. The ELECTRIBE Wave also features a new keyboard to play chords and scales. Even without musical knowledge, you can have fun making tracks without worrying about wrong notes. The sequencer features Groove, which can be used to breathe life into rhythm parts, as well as a special keyboard to enable smooth step input for synth parts on the graphical user interface.

• Convenient chord pad that allows you to play a chord with one finger
ELECTRIBE Wave features a chord pad that allows you to play chords with one finger. If you use the "Fetch" function, it will automatically extract the chords from the song that you are in in the middle of creating and assign those chords to the pad for fast and easy song creation. You can also easily assign and save your favorite chords. In addition you can use the arpeggiator to create new phrases!

• Motion Sequence records and plays temporal changes in sounds and effects
The ELECTRIBE series introduced a powerful motion sequence function that remembers and reproduces the movements of the knobs. ELECTRIBE Wave now offers this function for the synthesizer/drum parts so you can create a flow of sound overflowing with originality. If you use the built in KAOSS PAD you can change the sound to drastically with a single fingertip, easily storing and reproducing temporal changes. Remember the wave table POSITION to make real time minute changes to the sound performance.

• Song mode can combine patterns into finished songs
Use song mode to create a new track by simply arranging the order of existing patterns. Using only the ELECTRIBE Wave, you can take a song all the way from inspiration to completion. With audio file export, you can send a complete song or individual patterns to your favorite DAW, or upload to services like SoundCloud.

!Changes will be discarded!

I love this app.....giving one star so that hopefully the developer will see and respond....when playing live and muting parts you can no longer jump to another pattern without an annoying prompt popping up to remind you your changes won’t be saved....this seriously interrupts the flow of live playing! Please switch this feature back and get rid of it.....

So Much Joy
ballpoint penguin

This is the most joy I’ve ever had, aside from with a girlfriend. I prefer making drum parts on here now to ableton drum rack. Holy cannoli tho it’s just so cool, so freaking fun. Thank you KORG

Needs tweaks for better workflow
AudioGman

Things that would make it so much better: 1. Ability to dial in metronome instead of using fingers to turn the parameter knobs. 2.Better sensitivity for parameter knobs or better yet the ability to dial in the parameters. 3. MIDI mapping capability of parameters to hardware. 4. Ability to rearrange patterns in song mode 5. Ability to loop a specific pattern or loop a set of patterns 6. Ability to specify the number of times a pattern should loop before going to the next pattern 7. Ability to copy and paste entire bar of sequences in a row to another bar. These should be easy fixes based on the price being charged.

AUv3 Gets the 5th star

I bought this plugin for one reason in particular....Audio Unit support. Waiting for the rest of the Kong line to comply.

Can’t change drum
RaddMann

Trying to change drum causes app to crash on iPad Pro. Hope it’s just me because I think the app looks like a lot of fun but if I can’t get it to work I will ask for refund.

Close to amazing but missing a crucial feature.
midi fister

I expected that I could load my own samples to turn into wave tables. The lack of this feature deeply cripples this from being an amazing app. However the drum section let's you import samples and honestly, it's way better to use than a physical es2 sampler. Please add ability to load my own sounds or at least draw custom wave forms. This would absolutely make all the difference.

I want to like this app so badly!
Stevo3985

I love Korg. I have a bunch of hardware and a lot of the software. I check back in this app every couple months to see if it has improved, and it has. Extra star for that. The problem is that there are still bits left working incorrectly or poorly implemented. The feature in mind at the moment is the count in for the metronome - it doesn’t work. At all. I am not ready to play notes on my controller keyboard in the same second that I hit the play and record buttons, but the app expects me to be; even though I set the (newly available) 2 bar count in, it begins playing/recording in the same instant I hit the button, like it did from its release date. This is not supposed to happen until the end of the count-in. That is the reason it is there. Every other production app has this feature, and I am not asking for anything unreasonable, so please fix this! I stand by my original review in which I stated that consumers should not have to spend hard earned cash on a half baked application and then also be expected to QA the release for the developers. That is the job of the employees of Korg, who get paid to do this stuff.

Korg you guys really out did yourselves, I feel like the interface is so easy to understand on here, I like the look of the app I appreciate all of the instrument choices we get per part, the mixer interface is a beauty i feel like I’m in a studio, I imagine this works great with a midi controller I sort of want to buy the nano kontrol to find out, basically you can play back clips much like how Korg gadget or the Nintendo ds game work, but I don’t know I really like the electribe work flow, this app gives so much freedom and control over how you want you your music to sound, beyond impressed, I want to incorporate this in some of my songs along with my other hardware instruments

Great App

Ability to use the drums in AUV3 would be nice

Problem with inter app
pjeadmin134

Hi I think there is a major problem with Kong Electribe due to iOS 14 update.the app doesn’t function properly as an inter app because the character of the sound change when I load it inside the app that I make my music with,I’m having this problem inside NanoStudio,IMPC pro 2, BeatMaker 3 please send an update or probably the app needs a bug fix. Thank you very much for all your hard work on helping iPad producer but the app is wonderful.
