From brain to sequenced

I am always drumming and humming stuff that pops into my head. This app makes it so easy to grab the inspiration and sequence it. Then you can just run with the sound you got, or replace with more hi-fi samples. I made a fairly intricate beat within minutes of first opening it, and it was a lot more fun then working in my daw. For me, this provides a workflow that separates the creative process from the production and engineering process. That’s something that I’m sure a lot of people struggle with. Excellent app... thanks for creating it!

Super easy to use! I am a professional composer with a full studio of gear. This app is now part of my work flow! I have had it for 24hrs and already written half a dozen songs.

My two favorite samplers have always been the Korg Electribe and the SP 404. Grooverider GR-16 nailed the electribe workflow but the App Store was lacking in a true SP inspired app until Koala showed up. It feels like really getting your hands dirty with audio in a way that few other apps do. It’s as simple as building collages with magazines and scissors but the depth is completely up to your imagination, and like the SP, you’re not shoehorned into any one way of working. Awesome work and thank you for putting this one out there. I’m going to make a lot of music with it.

i use this app with my po-33....its got a super dope trim sample function. hoping for a one shot button soon ?????? buy this app!!!!
No landscape for iPad

Looks great, plays great but hoping landscape support is planned since all my other music apps are this way and I hate having to rotate my iPad just for this app.
A lot of fun for the money

It’s a blast to play with and I can see myself integrating this into my music making process. It’s great that it already works with Ableton Link and AudioShare. Bonus point is awarded because my toddler likes it too. Two things I’d love to see in future updates: - editing notes within patterns after recording - applying effects to samples after recording

The recent series of updates have made a killer app even more than killer. Whatever that is! Just get it! This app is even more way underpriced for what it can do!! Yes, I love it! There are a lot of sampling/looping apps on iOS. None of them is as immediate as this one. It’s just awesome! Check out vids on YouTube and you’ll see some of what it can do. Some are saying “it can’t do this or that” when actually it can. So don’t listen to them! And the dev is all over this with updates and he listens so that’s a big plus. IMHO this app is way underpriced for what you get!

This pocket sampler is easily the best money I’ve spent on a music app, ever. The recent update introduced some fantastic features like one shot mode for samples and Ableton Live Set export!!! I use Ableton primarily so Im super hyped about that. I’m looking into purchasing a new iPad for music work, and this app has me very inspired to create on the go. I can’t wait to try it out on an iPad instead of on my phone! I can’t believe it only cost $3!
