I purchased Koala when it was first released. This app have improved so much over the past months. I hope the developer will keep improving it! Wishlist: To be able to apply effects after recording the sample; To be able to use au3 effects on each sample; To be able to use au3 effects on bus/master track; Built in tuner while adjusting sample pitch;

I have only used it for about an hour but it’s very easy to get started and has a lot of power for an affordable app. I was looking for something like the old days. I could play a sound into the Emulator II where I worked and have a beat looped in seconds. I have a full on software sampler but you have to record in one program and drag files to it, assign a key range etc. which is precise but not creative. It records from the iPad mic but I was able to use a Rocksmith guitar cable into a Camera kit adapter to record line level samples with ease. I am sure it could be more than what it is, but then it wouldn’t be what it is!

Integration with ableton is nice. Airdropping samples from splice on the Mac to your iPhone and into koala is a breeze. I use this all the time and I own an sp 404 sampler, so it’s nice to have a similar style mobile sampler with faster workflow . I’d say it’s almost perfect. Can we maybe have import audio from other saved projects in the future?

Every time I come back to the app after working on a project, my sequences have added sounds, doubled drum patterns that I most certainly did not add myself. I’ve had to restart a project three times because of this. What’s the use of this app if I can’t save my projects correctly?

If you have (or have ever used) the Roland/Boss sp 202, 303, 404, or just want a SOLID iOS sampler then this app will be right up your alley. The UI is slick and this app is fun! The price point is on with this app. They could easily charge much more for what it does. I thank the developers for making such a solid app.

It’s a good sampler app with great effects and the ability to resample and make complete beats! The price is amazing for an app that do that much, my only complaint is that the display of the app can be used only vertically and i wish that it can work horizontally soon! Please add landscape mode for the iPhone version!!!

Super Fantastic! This is what portable apps should be. So simple and quick and form factor works even better on iPhone as a scratch pad or to aid full production. A couple of extra features would be nice like .1) Drag and drop sample on sample to create an instant mixed sample. .2) Mic reverb wet/dry adjustment. .3) Re-trigger sequences Still worth twice the price. Get it now, tell your friends and let keep this developing.

Best app I have bought in a while
