Model year 2013 is not in the app

App is out of date

BDGulick

Although I see files for the newest models in this app, when I load the app, none of the videos have sound. Also, the top row of buttons (with access to the KYVW main menu, etc.) is found *under* the usual Apple network connectivity, time, and battery charge icons. What’s the deal with this? And the Bluetooth connectivity menu item takes me to a website snd no means to return to KYVW. Looks like the app was built for an iPhone 2 or something. I use an iPhone 6S with iOS 11.2.6.

No sound

jtwo

Useless with no sound. What the heck.

No support for older vehicles

claviusitunes

No support for anything older than 2016 models. Really, VW?

No sound

Shamrocksteady

There is no audio on the videos (the whole point of the app)

Utterly useless

EMS Tunes

Will not accept VIN for my 2015 Touareg that is supposedly a supported model. And content cannot be viewed without VIN. Totally useless app.

Useless! Does not support my VIN

Littlebonz

As many others have reported, this app is dependent on entering the VIN for your vehicle however I've correctly entered the VIN for my 2016 Touareg TDI Lux and it keeps giving me an error saying incorrect VIN, please enter a valid VIN. I suspect someone at VW was tasked with developing an app for the sole purpose of having an app without any thought around it actually being useful. Ironic since VW touts their attention to every little detail, this seems to be consistent with the lack of detail resulting in a 60k car without USB ports, seriously??? Disappointing.

Some useful stuff

I have a 2015 Passat TDI SEL and found that some of the videos provided info that I wasn't aware of, especially the one on the DSG transmission. Like others, I am not impressed with how the user's manual is presented. I mentioned the model and year in response to posters that the app doesn't work for recent models. I entered the VIN, and the app opened immediately.

Useless

No sound on the videos. Can't see manuals without typing in your VIN - Really???? Oh and after going out to my car to get the VIN, the app rejected it. Luckily the paper manual was in the car so I just grabbed that. To sum up - No UX here.

Like many others ...

hdfatboy2003

It's worthless since it won't recognize my VIN for brand new Beetle convertible
