One feature missing

cafemochaman

I just got my VW recently. I was looking at some videos- which are super helpful because there is so much technology packed in my new Tiguan. One huge request and gripe, unless I’m missing it. There’s no way to “favorite” a video to come back to it later for quick access. Seems like something that should be there. A minor detail but a big UI omission.

Useless

I don't know how this app gets 4.2 stars. I have installed it on both my iPhone XS and my iPad Pro. On neither device do the videos ever play - I just get a black box where the video should be. And eventually the app gets confused and displays a plain text web page, with no ability to get back to the normal page without uninstalling and reinstalling the "app".

Good videos, but don’t apply to all levels of the car

rkaras2

The videos are good and very descriptive, but when I go to my car to try to follow directions, I find that my car has different features. I must have a lower end of the car and much of what they described on these videos does not exist in my car. They should have an option of choosing which level you have also

Confusing user interface

Why does it encourage me to add new car to garage every time. Once I’ve added my first car (statistically most people will only own one VW) the. The UI should default to showing me info about my car, not make it hard to find that info. Very very frustrating.

Hope it gets improvements

I can’t believe you have to enter your VIN# every time you want to view the owners manual info! When you add a car to your garage you should enter the VIN and then it should be remembered when accessing information dependent on a vin. Also, it would be nice to be able to download the manual so you can view it even when you have no data connection on your phone.

White screen

The headline says it all. I open it up to a white screen and nothing else.

Nice idea but clunky and not user friendly

CJ Cummings

The app contains various quick help guides that are not enabled for zoom-in on the text or pictures to make them readable on a smartphone. Waste of effort if not designed with a user in mind.

Could be really useful, but isn’t there yet

I agree with a previous reviewer: the Quick Guides don’t have any tilt or zoom capabilities, which renders the app completely useless for iPhone users. In terms of content, I bought my car used and thought this would be a great way to get the 5 cent ‘new owner overview’ of all the features of my Atlas, but it’s just not there yet. Back to YouTube I go.

Why is VW so out of the loop?

wantagegirl

1. PDF versions of owners manuals should be available online. Period. End of story. 2. Since VW doesn’t get the logic of #1, at least allow the VIN of car(s) added to my garage to be saved. You’d think the powers that be would want to make it as easy as possible for owners to learn about all the cool features of their cars!

Nice idea.... but problematic

As my Arteon Owner Manual will not fit in the glove compartment (I know! WTH?!) I installed the app for easy reference. Unfortunately it requires the VIN to be entered with every search or use which gets old quickly. Other option is the Quick Start guide which would be AWESOME if you could zoom on the images. As is it is nearly impossible to read the info provided.
