Best One I’ve Used

JBChicoine

Now that there are cables, this really is the best knitting chart app I’ve used. It is responsive and easy to use—elegant in design and application. I especially appreciate the responsiveness of the developer who is always looking for ways to improve the app. It is definitely worth paying for the full app!

Dissapointed

Looks like a great app but...... I like the yellow row marker for knitting and it helped me make a swatch. I like the ability to add or subtract rows or columns at either end. BUT.... The ‘help’ section is nothing more than a repeat of the 14 point overview. I have yet to find the paintbrush. The first knitting stitch it gave me was K1, wrap twice. HUH????? How often am I gonna use that? Getting rid of it was awful. Also the color chooser is wonky. Keeps telling me I don’t have that color yet it’s the one I was using before I went to another. And what’s with square colors vs round colors? Beyond frustrating to figure out. Also the stitch marker only goes on one stitch in one row. I would prefer a heavy line I could make going up the entire section where one is needed.

So well designed!

This is one if the most well-thought-out apps I have ever used. The designer really thought of everything you might need in creating charts for knitting.

Doesn’t work

After making one chart and buying $1.99 upgrade, it won’t allow me to create another chart. Try to title a new one, keyboard won’t pop up and when I try to cancel numbers just populate the name field.

Love it!

Love the stitch options. It’s easy to use.

Very good app

Very complete, and user friendly. I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to insert a row into the chart, but developer was very helpful and contacted me within a day. I think help section could be expanded. Developer will create a group on Ravelry and that will allow people to share information.

Wonderful so far, but what about sync?

M3KS

I’ve been really enjoying the iPad version of this app, enough that I bought the full version. But do I also need to pay for the full version separately on my phone, and how do I get my projects to sync between devices if I did do that? I don’t want to remake my entire project on the phone version just so that I have it on both devices.

Helpful-ish

I’ve stumbled through and eventually figured out the basics of the app. Some instructions and descriptions of different features would go a long way to making this more user-friendly.

Fun to play with

Great little app for designing colorwork patterns. And in fact, it’s the only app I found that allows one to draw colorwork patterns like this. Love it!

Not good for large projects

I bought this to draw out a chart for a blanket. Because there are so many rows, the chart is not readable on the paper printout. I assumed the application would take the chart and put it into a pattern format but it didn’t so I had to go through the chart on my iPad and manually count and write out a hundred lines of rows.
