New review: SE (Square Enix) has made some positive changes. Farmable medals are removed from jewel pulls. They've started having frequent events. The first problem, for me, is the AP. I have 161 AP. I can pay $15 to unlock all the quests for a week and yet can only play maybe 30 minutes a day. Why? Because most of the quests can cost between 35 and 42 AP. It takes 30 seconds to a few minutes per quest. See the problem? SE also puts avatar boards behind paywalls. Jewels are hard to come by. Medal pulls aren't very good. Whereas in Japan, the avatar boards aren't behind pay walls, they get double the daily login jewels, have permanent daily jewel quests, and the medal pulls have much better odds. It's a fun game. Adorable storyline. Still, TBH, right now I still play because I like the folks in my party so much. Download it & play. Just know that the times the game is really fun is when it's zero or one AP for a week. Also, expect to run into trouble playing because of paywalls. Spending $15 won't help either. Old reviews: Edit after playing a week: 1) The medal issues are an iPad Pro issue. Everything works fine on my iPhone. 2) Make a dummy Facebook account that is just a placeholder because you won't want to lose your data. Now, I find it even more ridiculous after playing longer that the cloud or Game Center isn't utilized. Switching between devices is a messy and antiquated experience. Repeatedly downloading data. 3) Play now and hope they decide to leave the "half AP" as a permanent thing since the change to "full AP" will mean playing for 20 minutes at a time. 4) Wait. WHAT? Yep. The game is fun. Cuteness personified. Yet, intelligence comes into play also. You will want to play longer than 20 minutes. 5) Music. Truly lovely music. 6) Game description below from my earlier review. :) Older review: I don't have any experience with the real Kingdom Hearts games, but I'm greatly enjoying this. The storyline is cute. You can personalize your avatar. It's a bit simplistic but that's ok. It's fun to play. There's no need to HAVE to spend real money. Like the best apps, this one allows you to play without having to spend money. Three issues. One- just saving data with a Facebook link? Seriously? Surely Disney realizes a lot of us go to Facebook once a month to check days and that's it. I'm NOT linking my account. If I get far in the game and the data gets lost, they'll lose me as a customer since I won't play again. Why not connect to Game Center or the cloud? Two- I don't think ANY game should ever get timed out because of health, etc. This is bad. It caters to the distractedness that is already becoming a problem in the world. Three- this is probably mean culpa, but I cannot get any of the blue or green xp medals to help level ANYTHING. Only the red ones work. Why??

Ok so I've been a fan of Kingdom Hearts my entire life. So when this came along I obviously had to play it. It's a super fun game, not too hard but not too easy. My only problem with it is the amount of space that it takes up. Yes, I do understand that in order to make a game with a long story line it has to take a lot of space on your phone, but if there's any possible way you could reduce that, I would love the game even more! ?

Been playing since the second week and after spending way too much money I can say without any reservation that this game is not what it should be. Huge potential, poor application. Just like many say, drop rates of great necessary medals are impossibly rare, but the price to pay is also too expensive. Essentially, if you're not starting out in the top 100, you'll never make it there because only those in the top less than 1 percent of players get the great rewards. Will continue to play to see the story line close, but will never pay again.

A great little game for kingdom hearts fans. The art style is beautiful while retaining the cuteness of the series, and I had so much fun teaming up with my party members to take on bosses. I can't wait for the future updates in which multiplayer comes in. Please give it a shot!

Great game they really did well making this game. Recommending this for any kingdom hearts lover. The only thing is this game needs more of a story line.

This is great game to play when you want to pass the time. It takes a while to get into and you have to read up on the khunchained wiki to understand how to play the game correctly, but after that it's really fun. Just don't let yourself be tempted to buy too many jewel packs, that is unless you're really rich. If you want to support the game then buy all you want, but I play the game just fine without them. There's not much story until you get really far into the game. If you haven't played the other kingdom hearts games then most likely it won't be very fun unless you just like the gameplay itself. It has its flaws, but I like it a whole lot anyways. I'm glad Square Enix made a "different" game like this.

Been playing for months, a wonderful kingdom heart game and the best, most intricate app ever. Plays a lot of chain of memories but YOU wield the keyblade with your friends. Just a great game.
