Trash can app

This app is being tossed in the trash can. The cookies and such where a spam website taking over while your reading the articles needs to go. Give me an option to buy out the no ads feature and I’ll gladly pay and keep the app. Until then it gets 1 Star from me and stays in the trash can.

I am a faithful KHOU watcher. Their app is very disappointing. I can’t even check on the tropical storm in the Gulf of Mexico without getting a 30 second commercial. This is the case with most segmented videos on this app.

I use the app primarily to look at weather and local radar. It’s fast, accurate and easy to access. I use it everyday.

Too many ads

Waaaay too many ads. When I swipe to read a story, ad pops up, or it’s a blank page with ad at bottom; story may or may not load. And IF it does load, it takes a while. I have IPhone 8 Plus. DELETED KHOU app for these reasons, and I’m now using KTRK app for local news...love it! While KTRK does have ads, they are minimal and do not interfere with the news stories like KHOU app. I’ve really enjoyed the KHOU app up until the last several months, but the ad slamming/cramming became too much of an annoyance and has ruined a simple concise app for news. It is now total garbage. Au revoir KHOU app, I won’t be back!

Such a waste of time

Dear developers, When you create an app that is used for only one purpose: to get everyone on your website it defeats the purpose of an app. Allow the stories to be viewed within the app!!! Right now every single thing you click to read gives you “click here for more”!!! Useless! If one wants to visit the website they can go there we do not need an app to point us there.

This app need a link where someone can report news and it location trying to email it will take too long it need a direct up load or live feed for KHOU can edit at later time. Or also allow the person to share their location where the news is happening.

My favorite station for news. Love the news staff morning noon and night.

I refused to go to another station for my news fix. Love the personalities of each of the station's news crews. They show that they enjoy the work they do and allow the city to see them as individuals and their concern with community involvement. We see them in the highs and the lows. I just love the way they interact with one another and with the communities they serve.

Crashing

The app keeps crashing about a minute after I open it. This started happening about 2 weeks ago

Too many ads

This used to be a decent app, but within the last 6 months, every time you open a story, there is a stupid advertisement that you can’t get rid of to read the story (unless you open the advert of course). Im sure there will be a “premium” “add-free” version coming soon. I’m deleting this app and going to abc13
