Unreliable and unintuitive

I have had to cancel my last three orders when waiting up to 20 minutes for each restaurant to confirm my order and never getting that confirmation and killing much of my lunch break. The app is also very unintuitive. Got excited when they started but never using again.

Great bang for your buck; not the fastest service but you get what you pay for. If you want your food to come in 20 minutes don’t bother. If you don’t mind waiting 30+ mins for your food, this app is for you because of how cheap it is

Easy to use and cheaper delivery fees to all of the other delivery apps. I’m a runner and I’ve made a lot of money with the flexible hours and guaranteed wage. Also the easy communication board between the runners and buyers is great.
False information on bad reviews

Whoever said that this app forced her to charge $2 a delivery, that is false. I have worked for JoyRun for over a year and that has never been the case. If it wasn’t for this app I would not have been able to pay bills last year while I was in between jobs. It is a great app that cares about its customers, it’s runners, and it’s communities!
Started cool - became expensive

There used to be a lot of partners with $3-5 meal options and now it’s all $9+ or a percentage off (that covers tax and fee to use app pretty much). Once you factor in tax and fee for using app, and the fact that you’re picking up your own food (even more expensive if someone picks up your food for you) then it becomes more expensive to use the app than if you were to go to the store itself. Dumb.

This app is a scam literally every time i ordered they would always get something extra like a bigger size than what i ask so I’d have to pay more to the “runner”. I was doing so well at one point with their referral program they started to not give me or my referrals our credit , they just swiped out my account. When this app first came out i was very excited for it but now i see why i should continue ordering from Ubereats and DoorDash.

I work in Redwood City and they gave me a flyer coming off the Caltrain a couple times so I tried it out. Surprisingly I had no issues getting my $1 boba and then ended up getting $1 samosas and ordering ahead my lunch the next few days. It was very easy to use and they actually don’t sneak in hidden fees like postmates. Highly recommend especially if you’re working tough hours, makes things so convenient
