This app keeps getting better! Now supports any kind of organization, not just top-down outline maps. Imports and exports just about any format imaginable. And handoff and iCloud support makes it seamless to switch between iPad/phone and Mac versions. For me, thinking starts in iThoughts.

3/6/16 Update: I still love this app. Just got the update, always wanted some of the new features just never expected to ever have them. Thanks again for a great product that just keeps getting better!! I have been using this app for a long time. I still find new things I can do with it and the developer just keeps coming up with new features that I didn't realize I needed until he created them to say that I'm pleased with this app is truly and understatement. It has become a go to program for almost everything I do to organize both my personal and professional life. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the developer. I own iPhone, iPad and Mac version and love them all.

This app on an iPad with a keyboard is as close to the ultimate free thinking / writing tool I've ever used. It is a pleasure to use. I've been using iThoughts for years. I upgraded to the latest version today so I could work on a planning project all day long. If the old version rocked, this one is Woodstock. Keyboard integration is getting really good. Great software. Thank you!

The developer has hidden so many features in this great tool of an app. I use it daily for so many things. It can be simple, or if you want to dive in and learn, it has very advanced features. Just great for mind mapping, project outlining etc.

This is crazy awesome. So easy to use and so powerful. Fast, intuitive and clean. The research future alone is worth every penny. I cannot tell you how organized this has gotten me. Add to that the ability to literally see my thoughts which makes me so much more creative and productive. Watch the how to videos on their website and you'll be a pro in no time. Or skip the videos and just start brainstorming!!

It syncs slickly with any Dropbox folder you desire... or more than one. You can tell it to automatically sync not only its native file format but also a bunch of others. For example, I have it sync in both iThoughts and MS Word formats. Not only can I edit on my phone in IThoughts and have correct syncing happen with my iPad and my Mac, but my writing partner automatically has an updated copy of my outline in the format he prefers. Before I bought iThoughts for Mac, I set up XMind sync, and could edit using either XMind on the Mac or iThoughts on iOS and have changes show up seamlessly everywhere. Beyond that (which is huge) it’s as feature-rich a mind map app as can be found on mobile device or desktop. Definitely worth the price.

I use this for everything from personal brainstorming to meeting minutes. I switch between the Mac app and the iPad app constantly via ICloud. Markdown export is fab, especially when using Brett Terpstra's Marked2 on the Mac. It just works. Buy it.

I love to organize my research with iThoughts. No app compares to it. It's the reason I bought an iPad Pro and it's one of a couple apps I use every single day. The more I use it, the more uses I find for it. If only all note taking and thinking toolkit apps were this well designed and supported!
