This is a WONDERFUL mind-mapping program. It supports similar keyboard short-cuts as XMIND and provides a great interface, cloud integration, and a lot of features. Nice work!
Great app but needs encryption

iThoughts is the best mind mapper for iOS, period. It has excellent support for attachments and is more than just a brainstorming tool. However, to be fully useful it needs encryption, to protect the sensitive information that it's so great at storing.

But when you open this app, you will see mindmap, search,cloud,settings and so on, why put them in the main page? When I open this app, I need to see the mindmap list on the screen, it’s will be convenient for us to write some ideas.

I have used the top mind maps out there. This one is the greatest of them all. Have no doubts. If you are looking for the most comprehensive and professional utility available this is the one. This is the one I would tell my mother to buy. The product support is good as it gets. VERY HAPPY

I’m back. Now that iThoughts uses iCloud, the sync is great & I have come back home to iThoughts. It just works & gives me the flexibility I need in a simple but full featured project useful app. The only wish is that it would do sums I do projects, several at one time. The app I use must have all the features listed above in the title to be helpful/supportive in my work (I also use this for journaling.). I have tried MANY mind mapping, databases, and advanced calendars. I have found that iThoughts is the one app I always come back to for one of the reasons listed above. The customer service is most supportive & timely.

Since I am very visual I definitely like the pictures of the maps. Yes, there is a learning curve. But I have noticed with anything robust, there is a learning curve. I am looking forward to getting very good at this app.

iThoughts makes quick brainstorming easy then enables deep reflection to fill out your ideas. And when you're ready to go onto the next phase of polishing a piece, it's markdown export is excellent (especially with Marked 2 on macOS). Moreover, the maps are beautiful and there's a surprising amount of advanced features and shortcuts, though you by no means need to learn them right away. More than worth the price; a truly pro app on the iPad.
Limited but good at what it does

Like so much of IOS software it works well in isolation. My needs include compatibility with the Windows world. Specifically, Freeplan (.mm) compatibility does not include attributes(calculations and data), images or node details. Attachments are static unless you use web links which makes it unusable in airplane mode. Not that any other IOS mind mappers include such compatibility either. Just reinforces the impression that IOS is for play, Windows is for serious tasks.
