Fantastic mind mapping app with great developer support

CharlieG2008

This app delivers with a robust, bug-free experience. This is high quality software from an excellent, and very responsive developer. I wish all my apps worked this well and were of this quality. If you need a mind mapping app, I highly recommend iThoughts. It's extremely easy to use out if the gate, but when you need it's robust project management features, they aren't hard to find or use. Add to this support for iCloud, WebDAV, and other cloud services...It really has everything you could want in a mind mapping app. (If you don't know what mind mapping is, please search the Internet and learn about all the amazing things you can do with mind mapping - then come back here and buy iThoughts!) I use iThoughts every day and love it!! Highly recommended!

Just the best

iThoughts is the all-singing, all-dancing mind-mapping software for iOS. It has a ton of awesome features, is in active development, and does just about anything you might want it to—and if it doesn't, the developer probably has it on his list of features to add. I've been using it for years, and have no major complaints. I especially love the easy syncing and compatibility with various desktop apps. I'm not going to list the features I would like, because they're all under consideration by the developer—he'll get to them when he can. The one small gripe I have is with the interface. Don't get me wrong—the basic interface is just fine, attractive and functional. It's just that this thing has so many features, he's run out of places to put them. I feel like a better job could be done somehow, though I'm not quite sure how. Perhaps he should hire an interface expert—is Tog available?

One thing tops this app...

...and that is the amazing and super responsive customer support. There is no need to look elsewhere for a mind mapping app because there is nothing better.

A joy to use

Enjoying the iCloud sync to all my devices. Whenever I need to capture thoughts & ideas, this is my go-to app.

Indispensable

This app is golden. The recent (early 2015) $10 upgrade fee was the first additional cost in six years. For a little perspective, compare ten bucks to MindManager on the PC which used to be $350 to purchase with yearly update fees. Shame on those who scoff at paying for the intelligence & hard work put in by the developer. iThoughts lets you create visualizations of what you have done and what you are going to do. It gives you a "step up" on everyone who does not have iThoughts. This app rocks and it keeps getting better. Out of all my apps, this is the most important for my work and personal lives. The Mac version also rocks.

Powerful concept mapping

Actively maintained and in my experience, very fast responses from the developer. To me this is the "Swiss Army knife" of mind mapping software, and is incredibly useful and adaptive to about every need. Does take require some learning, and has an interface "look" that might be a little dated now. I tend to rely on it for very complex projects that require lots of research and annotations, like book chapter outlines. Does not use iCloud, but Dropbox instead.

Beautiful, simple and powerful.

I have been using the previous version of this app for years. Then I bought the Mac version. Then I bought this new, universal app mobile version without hesitation. It is worth many times more the cost, to me. I've been hand drawing mind-maps since 1990. I tried other mind-mapping software before iThoughts, but they were so fugly that they took all the joy out of this powerful method for organizing my thoughts. Then I discovered iThoughtsHD. Intuitive and easy to use, it has managed to add complexity and 'power user tools' over the years, without losing the original ease of use and, did I mention, gorgeousness? I haven't got my head around the 'tasks' and 'reminders' and all that stuff, but I still use the basic tool any time I have a project to create -- I use it to keep fiction ideas, to break out topics for non-fiction articles and series, and to brainstorm blog topics. I even used it to help me organize my website's navigation. Oh, and it works. The developer keeps it updated and stable. Don't know what I'd do without this app!

Great app!

Great, inventive mapping functionality, including excellent implementation of Linked Folders via WebDAV sync.

Just discovered this new version! A welcome addition.

I've been using iThoughts for years now. I keep trying other mind mappers, but none measure up to the balance for power and flexibility with ease of use. The UI isn't unite as polished as MindNode, but the mind-maps will still look great. MindNode isn't nearly as flexible. And I scales. I have one map with over 500 nodes, and it still zooms and pans seamlessly. Dropbox syncing works great between my iPad and iPhone.

Amazing!!
