Blur fell off

AlizeAA

Well after an update on my IPhone X. I am unable to make phone calls. I contacted support and as of yet (2 weeks) nothing has been fixed nor addressed. Live and learn.

super useful and amazing

Great App!!

Paranoid?

I really like the app, but I’ve had several issues with a hacker getting in my last 3 phones. My error log for Blur, says redirects and blocks, my phone is once again controlled when some sort of trigger has it do something. An “if” “than” code. My trigger ID numbers, are now up in the 6,000,000 range. I talked to the Blur customer service, who were very nice, trying to help me troubleshoot the problem. They spent slot of time, but were baffled at what was causing the trouble. They kindly offered to refund my money. If this app could work properly for me, I’d give it 10 stars!!! Just because it has great features, and the Customer Service was excellent?? Only thing it’s missing, is being able to text through the app. Because all my texts are being seen too. Thanks Blur!!!

Great app, missing one feature!

This is a fantastic app, and website on the desktop side. The only issue is it doesn’t have the AutoFill feature. So you can fill in passes in apps and any of the browsers that you have. Please add this feature, it’s a new feature they added in IOS, so yeah. Please add, most of the pass managers have the feature. Please add it.

Most underrated online privacy manager

There’s so much that this app can do alongside storing your passwords but I can’t figure out why no one is talking about it. There’s space for UI improvements but everything else is freaking awesome.

FURIOUS

Even when using the Blur browser I never get the option for Blur to generate a password for me. When I go to a website and manually setup a password, I’m never getting a message for Blur to save my password for this site. I’m so disgusted with this app that I’m trying to contact the company, but guess what??? There’s NO support email address provided. What kind of fly by night operation is this??? Grabbed my money fast, it doesn’t work as promised and there’s no way to contact them.

Several claimed functionalities do not work

Masked credit card never works (never gets approved) by vendor Password generator while present in mobile, does not allow you to adjust parameters of password to be generated

Not as secure as they say

Sad4evernote

Update *******WARNING*************** As of March 16th my security was compromised and it seems to point at BLUR! Several of my credit cards were compromised. Blur has not responded to my emails. I would NOT RECOMMEND THESE GUYS! For over 5 years or so, I’ve been using Blur religiously under the guise that they were using a super secure system. I’ve used there other services as well. But recently, I was informed by them that their system had been compromised. So much for securing your passwords. Within days of being contacted by Blur, I received a message from another security monitoring service telling me that most of the info I had on Blur was now on the dark web!!!!! This is NOT ACCEPTABLE !!! This has most definitely taught me a lesson- never put all your eggs in one basket! Live and learn. I’m currently in the long process of changing everything ( what a freaking hassle) now. The sad thing is, they didn’t even offer anything for their mistakes other than a “ we’re sorry”. For a company that prides themselves on securing your passwords, they have really screwed me over! I will be posting this issue everywhere I can and making sure no one uses this service. Thanks Blur for teaching me a lesson in internet security-or rather lack of. Shame on me for believing in your service and SHAME ON YOU for not giving us the security you claim to have. Never again.

I’ve always been against cloud stored passwords until our company was breached. It was easy to see how dangerous weak passwords can be. Blur has made things much more secure for me without adding a big headache. The built in password generator with on the fly customization has been my “go to” for creating unique, long, and complex passwords. While focused on a website’s password box, blur can create a password then and there. You can cycle through the auto generated passwords it offers, adjust the character length, allow or deny certain special characters etc, without leaving the webpage. The masking of phone number and email was a huge bonus! It was not a key element of my decision to use blur but after having it I wouldn’t want to go back. Prior to blur I unknowingly had repeated passwords on several accounts. Blur kindly shows you which accounts have used a duplicated password, and shows you the password history for each account. I chose blur over other password managers for a various reasons: 1) Privacy is company’s sole function and focus. 2) Abine isn’t a huge nor hugely known company. (I prefer strong mid sized companies where the founders and executives are still close to the team) 3) They were proactive and transparent when a misconfigured file exposed customer data. The data did contain sensitive data but that data was stored heavily encrypted. (No company is immune to breaches. So I want to know how the information is separated and stored and how the company responds to a breach) 4) Easy 2-factor authentication. 5) US based company 6) Browser extension with added security against tracking sites. 7) They don’t sell or share your data with 3rd parties. 8) The companies privacy policy and transparency.
