Only works from one perspective

Gfrvjufvg

Its ok to place furniture from one point of view. If I move around the things are not in the correct location.

Utter garbage

EKB-M

This app has pretty much nothing I’ve searched for. Which makes me wonder how small of a subset of products it supports. Adding insult to injury, it appears to ignore a number of iOS HIGs. Like for some reason instead of using the default iOS text fields, they’ve invented their own, which don’t work. Reinventing the wheel in a way that degrades UX is an awesome use of dev time! So maybe next time hire some actual iOS developers instead of assigning it to an intern and making them use what I can only assume was some kind of Android-based drag and drop My First App WYSIWYG.

Fun to use but

Wish it had larger catalog. Trying to convince my husband to get specific bed for our toddler and the options to play with are extremely limited. Will probably get bed either way but would’ve been fun to see it in his room ahead of time.

New Age of AR is Beautiful

Great app, offers nice possibilities and works surprisingly good, considering this tech is new. Thanks Ikea for being part of this new age of AR!

Worked well except for furniture placed several inches above ground

wbknox

The app for the most part worked as expected, except in most cases I found that after selecting the furniture to drop, it was set several inches above the ground, making it hard to imagine what it might look like in that place in the room.

Hard to use

Spent about 5 minutes on two occasions trying to get it going. No luck. Room scanning is a problem, especially if you’re just trying to get an idea of app capabilities while in a room you don’t care to decorate.

Good idea. Clunky.

The UX is lacking. Difficult to get to past screens. When camera is in use the app UI can go missing and then I'm stuck and have to shut it down and start over.

Region missing

Will you ever release it in Turkey? Since we have ikeas here in everywhere...

No longer works

The latest update just gives me yellow dots all over the floor—you can’t get past that no matter how you scan around. Was neat before! I’m sure it will be fixed.

So difficult to use!

maladii

Bugged out on me multiple times when I tried starting up. Told me to scan the floor until yellow dots disappeared, but no yellow dots appeared. Four force quits later it finally let me scan the floor, but it got the angles wrong and I couldn’t figure out how to rotate the furniture. Put a few things down at the wrong angles, then they randomly decided they should be halfway up the wall. Needs a tutorial! Do I literally point the camera straight at the floor, or do I need the place where the floor meets the walls? How do I rotate? It looks like I can, but tapping, swiping, or trying to grab the wheel-like circle under the furniture does nothing—unless that’s a bug. Is there some way to save your work? I would have sunk a year of my life into this app easily, it’s such a great idea, and I almost certainly would have bought some of the pieces that looked cool, but the app is such a PITA that it’s not worth my time.
