The best way to learn!

Kriss_Miss21

I’ve tried dozens of different ways to learn Japanese over the years, and this is definitely the best source of instruction I’ve found so far. Just treat these textbooks like a class, and you’ll be learning in no time! This isn’t just about memorizing phrases and letters, these books tell you exactly what you’re learning and why it’s in that order. Not only that, but the reading itself is entertaining and informative. Do yourself a favor and get these textbooks!!

Nostalgic

I’m really glad I downloaded this app again 6 years ago I had the dream to fly to japan and go sightseeing. Unfortunately my plans crumbled and I got really depressed about japan. Now I’m financially stable and started getting the urge to travel. I love how easy it is to understand Japanese with this app versus expensive books I’ve grabbed from Barnes n Noble

Incredible find...I’m hooked!

Human Japanese is awesome!! It’s fun to read and full of information that’s extremely helpful and interesting too. I love it because unlike any other Japanese textbooks I have tried so far, Human Japanese is actually a page-turner! It had never occurred to me that a textbook could be like this. I feel like I lucked into private lessons with the best language teacher ever! (And it’s super affordable too.) I recommend it highly.

Great app!

Not only do you learn Japanese, you also learn about the culture!

Very nice

This is a stunning app, too bad that the developers just abandoned it. I redownloaded it and what to my wondering eyes do I see, horizontal display only ! What? This is an iPhone. This is a 5 star app reduced to: “I don’t care” says the developers. Well, here’s 1 star, you’ve earned it

Well paced and painless.

This was clearly well thought out and feels challenging and rewarding without boring you to death. For Japanese this is miles ahead of duolingo.

The Best And Most User Friendly Way to Learn

PhenomV

I’ve tried different apps and sites and this is the best way for me to learn so far. The way the language is explained feels personable and speaks in a way that compares what we’re familiar with in English to how it would/wouldn’t work in Japanese. It also feels like a modern person is explaining it to you as opposed to a cold distant textbook. LOVE IT!

Amazing

It is a really great app for learning Japanese, it teaches you the kana, the correct pronunciation of the words, the use of the words, and also more direct translations so you don't look stupid when you actually have the chance to speak with a native speaker. It's also fun on top of everything else.

Perfection.

First off, I never write reviews. I think, in the years I’ve used both Android and Apple phones, I’ve written MAYBE two reviews. That said, Human Japanese deserves a review. I’ll keep it short: Interested in learning Japanese? Get the app. Try out the free version; you won’t be disappointed. I bought the HJ and HJ Intermediate bundle and it was the best money I’ve spent on the App Store, bar none. If you’re looking for a gentle, intuitive way to break into the seemingly-daunting task of learning Japanese, this is the way I’d recommend you do so. There are many ways to do it, sure, but so very few of them are written in such a friendly and thoroughly-understandable manner. HJ doesn’t overload you with technical grammar terms like many textbooks do. Each term comes with both English and Japanese examples of common, everyday use to help you understand what you’re reading. It’s spectacular. As of this writing, I’m moving onto Intermediate and truly looking forward to the experience. If you’re on the fence about buying HJ, I’d urge you to do so. It’s very much worth investing in.

Fantastic app with a little improvement needed

Human Japanese is by far the best Japanese learning material I have ever owned. I bought both the iPad and iPhone version. It would be really nice if it can sync the progress across devices/platforms.
