Cast to Chromecast Only?

Love the app and all it’s content. My only gripe is the cast to other device as it only allows casting via Chromecast. Even though everyone has new tech, lots of people don’t own Chromecasts. If anything we have Smart TVs. Hopefully Hulu can fix this issue.

Hulu is great and works well for the most part, but I’ve been noticing issues with casting recently. When air playing to my Apple TV, it takes quite a while to connect and load a show, occasionally crashing in the process. Then when the show starts, if I lock my phone screen or go to another app, Hulu will work for about 10 seconds and the. crash and the process begins. Once the show is playing, the interface really lags. For example, clicking the skip intro button will do nothing for about 15-20 seconds, and then it will finally register the action. My internet and phone are quite fast and I’ve this issue seems to only be during Hulu streams. Any help or updates are appreciated!

I pay for the Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN package and literally only experience ads in Hulu! It’s ridiculous how many times they interrupt for ads that run for over a minute with no chance of fwd or skipping. What’s worst is that if you rewind at anytime the same ads will still pop up again! Seriously my least used streaming service!
Once great app, now a real pain to use

The Hulu app used to be the best streaming app around, but over the past few months it’s gotten progressively worse and worse to the point of being incredibly frustrating to use. Until the following issues are fixed, this app is practically unusable for anyone who relies on a casting device to stream Hulu shows: - Casting devices (Chromecast, Xbox, Roku, etc) no longer stays connected to the iOS device that is being casted from, for example any time I need to pause or adjust a stream to the Chromecast I have to go into the Google Home App, disconnect the chromecast from the Hulu stream, and then fully restart the stream - Autoplay is broken when casting from iOS devices, whenever an episode of a TV show finishes playing it will autoplay to the next episode, but start less than a minute from the end of the episode instead of the beginning, even if the last time watching the episode it wasn’t paused at this location. This is incredibly frustrating since whenever a new episode starts, you have to manually restart the episode, or even fully disconnect from the casting device and restart the stream - If iOS device is able to maintain connection to casting device, the playback bar at bottom of device will show the currently playing episode, but tapping it doesn’t open the streaming options (play, pause, volume, etc). The only way to access these options again is to disconnect the casting device and restart the stream

More ads even tho I pay for no ads, thanks HULU love you guys. The apps functionality is about as good as my 1992 Mac. Every episode of Sunny freezes and and an error message pops up, “unable to stream this at this time” the only thing Hulu has going for itself is that they Have good cartoons. That’s the only reason anyone uses Hulu , and you guys are lucky Netflix has decided to get rid of all of their good content. EVEN THE LIVE TV DOESNT WORK. it buffers every 40 seconds it’s unbelievably bad, might cancel sub soon

Picture In picture works on the iPad and worked on the iPhone when the feature first emerged and then all of a sudden stopped working?? Not going to even go into the horrible media catalogue my complaint is just about the pip feature.

Hulu company PLS ADD MORE DUBBED ANIME ON SHIPPUDEN, AND THE 1st 10 episodes on the anime DARLING AND THE FRANXX r gone, and make THE ANIME LOVE IS WAR FULL DUBED PLS OR ELSE ? IMA BE DISAPPOINTED.
Casting disconnects when paused.

When ever I pause Hulu while casting it disconnects from my phone and I have to reconnect it to resume. Sometimes it choked up and doesn’t even let me pause it and I have to close and reopen the app. Casting is a fundamental feature of a streaming app and pausing is a fundamental feature of watching films and shows. It’s been like this for as long as I’ve had Hulu. They can really afford to put dame lillard and Joel embiid on their commercials but they can’t afford to fix this issue??? Pathetic. I don’t have this problem with any other streaming app I use. I hope you are listening Hulu. For the record. I’m able to connect and play anything with no problem. It’s pausing that creates the issue.
