Worst WiFi Camera Out There

I just really want to make sure I do my due diligence and make sure that no one else makes the same mistake that I did by buying this camera. Your phone frequently will not connect (even to your home WiFi and even if you have a fast connection speed). Sound is inconsistent and just plain spotty. It’s incredibly unreliable and just the most frustrating piece of equipment. But, what else can you expect from Motorola? How are those BlackBerry’s doing, Motorola???

App worked well for 10.5 months. This past month has been bad. The app has difficult turning camera on and off. At times takes over an hour to connect. Have to close app and restart it numerous times before it connects.

The app and Halo+ camera WERE working well. That is, until I turned off the camera via the app. Now, I can’t even turn it on (which was an issue before but I had to logout and log back in and it would turn on, but now that doesn’t even work). I did everything: uninstalled and reinstalled the app, removed the camera and attempted to add it, did a hard reset by holding the pairing button while turning it off, unplugged the device, etc. and nothing works. A lot of good the camera does when it won’t even turn on. Frustrated is a great word to describe how something like this seems to not have a sensible solution. I look forward to a quick response and resolution.

Most recent update, v6.1.31, broke the app for me. Cannot view camera feed within app; unable to select the camera, dial continually spins. Was fine before this. Have tried resetting camera, to no avail.

I bought this cam almost 4 years ago. I use it everyday to keep an eye on my 4 year old and my 15 month old. I don’t think I’ve gone a night without cursing this thing. This is by far the worst buy I have ever made. The only reason I still use it and haven’t gone to something else is because it worked great for about 3 months then by the time I realized how horrible this was it was to late to return and I spent almost $200 on the stupid thing. the first time I updated the app, I’ve had nothing but trouble. Besides the 3 to 6 second lag on the stream it always freezes and the has to reconnect which (as I’m writing this review it’s been saying connecting for an hour). I can’t express it enough- STAY AWAY!!! I end up using FaceTime with my iPad half the time.


WiFi does not work...

Both my neighbor and I have Hubble monitors and neither of us were able to connect for monitoring. The two cameras we have are worthless if we can’t use them. Hell, I would prefer a simple baby monitor for sound only, this one brings nothing to the table when their network isn’t working. Fix this, it is not my internet or my app or my camera. Fix your network - looks like a lot of other people have the same issue, not sure where these 5 star reviews are coming from but I doubt it is the east coast... is it because I’m using freemium? We paid enough for the cameras, I’d like a refund of you are stopping Services for those using WiFi

I purchased this camera to help me, and it’s honestly more of a hassle.. I purchased it thinking it would be better then the ones I have. No matter how many times I have tried, several times for that matter. The app will not let me purchase a plan, so I have had to use it without and now it’s saying my free trial is up and it will not record or let me see the short clips I have had saved they seem to be deleted, not happy about it. I have had this camera sometime over a year now, and it’s not going to let me view anything unless I pay a plan.. At this point, why would I want to?

I’m done with this camera always connecting unless product . What ever I want to use .. connecting.... serious floss app and camera .I had Delete this camera and reinstall - never connected again even it say camera connected I will deleted app and dumb the camera where it belong ..

The app has not working. They give ZERO updates on when it will Be fixed. I had to go all night unable to see my baby. Sent a message through their Facebook page and got NO response. So you just have to sit around and hope this app starts working. WASTE OF MONEY!!!


Update App on 8/29/19

I recently updated the app on my phone and have not been able to connect to the camera. The monitor screen and my husband’s app (which he did not update) all work fine but this doesn’t help me when he isn’t home and/or when the monitor is dead and I am not near an outlet. If I had known I wouldn’t be able to connect to the camera I would of never updated the app! This is horrible to have this kind of issue when you are using this app to monitor a baby.
