Doesn’t work with me.com, iCloud.com or Mac.com email addresses

UPDATE: since my initial review and response by support, I now get the verification email but when I click on the link, the registration opens in a browser and says the verification failed. I tried deleting the app and clearing my browser history and data. Still the verification fails. Part of the process of registering requires receiving a verification email. I registered but never received the verification email. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I switched to an iCloud address. Still no verification email. I checked every spam/junk folder looking for this email. I checked every other folder I use at those addresses. Still no email. I tried to re-register but I could not as it said I already had an account. I tried to select forgot my password since it did not recognize the password I selected. It said I was not verified. I called Support for the App and was told they had no one that could help me as they had no dedicated team that would respond to these types of issues. I requested support through the App Store. It took over 2 weeks to get a return email that told me to get another email address - that their App did not recognize the me.com, Mac.com or iCloud.com email addresses. It is an issue they say they are addressing. I tried to use a gmail.com address. Still no verification email. Someone there please check your script for errors!

Redesign killed this app

Worked fine with my dishwasher until the big app redesign. Now all I see is a silly guide to the glory of the new app, followed by a “start the show” button that crashes the app. When I restart, there’s a “try again” button which does nothing. Totally useless now. Then it occurred that the company failed to adequately test migration from older app versions, so I deleted and reinstalled. Now I can get past the aforementioned intro screen and sign in, only to be confronted with a message that, “No changes can be made as you are not connected to the home connect server.” What a waste of time and opportunity. Some proper QA and teating before shipping would’ve saved me and others a lot of frustration. Shame I spent extra on the wifi feature of my dishwasher for this.

Can not connect dryer

Hi. I updated the app, lost the connection to my dryer (the washer re-connected fine), and cannot re-connect using the PDF instructions from the dryer (Error 1080) or the in-app instructions (Error 1073). Please help.

I use this Home Connect app for my Bosch washer and dryer and it’s awesome! I receive remote notifications when my cycles are complete on my iPhone, and it’s even better when I get notifications on my Apple Watch- it’s so convenient! I can use the app to set my washer to complete a cycle when I wake up in the morning, it’s like doing laundry in my sleep! I can also schedule a wash cycle for later in the day, to finish when I get home from work. If I have a change of plans, I can always change the cycle end time on my phone at work. This app also has recipes and a variety of added value elements. Highly recommend, it’s easy to use and navigate.

I just remodeled my kitchen and we decided to purchase the Bosch Coffee Station. It has been the best decision I have made in the remodel. Once you figure out the installation, it is a breeze connecting it and making a latte, espresso or coffee from your device. This will amaze all your senses, the delicious aroma of the ground coffee and the intoxicating coffee concoction will have the pickiest of guests wanting more.

Bought a Bosch tumble dryer several months ago and tried to connect it to the app but never succeed. This app even doesn’t have the “China” option in its region field.

I love this machine!

This machine has changed me. No coffee compares. My favorite is the latte macchiato! It grinds its own beans and froths you milk. Best addition to my kitchen.

Nothing works, complicated instructions

I am tech savvy yet cannot get any of my new appliances to connect. I followed the FOUR pages of written instructions and watched videos. The instructions are poorly written and do not match the process. That is ok bc I am used to troubleshooting but absolutely nothing works. Even the manual says u may get a network connection fail or error and to keep trying. I downloaded the app and got it to say that I connected to my router on one screen but it says connection failed on the next screen. Multiple attempts later I still get the error regardless of using the auto or manual process. They shouldn’t advertise the products as web enabled if they can’t do better than this.

Works? Horrible setup minimal functionality.

I could not get this working on my Android so I held off even trying on my iPhone. The setup was horrible. The instructions conflicted with what I actually needed to do. What I needed to do was just click next like a chicken. Stupid UX, they should have just told me to wait while they made it work. App is useless. No diagnostics on what is wrong with my dishwasher. No “drain the dishwasher right now” button. It feels like UX by someone who has never used or fixed a dishwasher. Idiotic.
