The Home Connect app also includes a demo mode in which you can try out appliances and their functionalities, without having an appliance connected. For example, you can use the easy start function to find the perfect washing program, or browse the cooking programs offered in the wall oven. In addition, you can browse a selection of recipes, as well as cooking tips and tricks.
My coffee maker takes a few minutes to turn on because it needs to rinse and that’s fine. I used to be able to turn it on from my bedroom on the app and then go start my coffee in a few minutes. The new app update no longer allows me to turn it on and I have to physically go do it. Poor me, I have a huge house and the kitchen is far away from the bedroom, so it’s a giant waste of time!
The interface makes it difficult to access even basic functions. I feel like I shouldn’t have to go through multiple menus to control basic functions for my appliances. I have also been unable to connect to my appliance since the last update.
I love the app but I’m frustrated that if I want more than 2 ounces I have to open the app and use it twice. It should be a simple modification to the code to allow users to do a 4 ounce espresso if they want to.
It seems that every time it try to use the app, t appliance is not available because it is “off” or “remote start has been deactivated”. Why are either of those issues even a thing? On several occasions I manually turned on Remote start only to have it not work until I got home...that isn’t remote...it is sad.
This app doesn’t let you continue without giving it access to your location, and from what I can tell, this isn’t necessary. On top of that, it doesn’t let you use “Sign in with Apple”, which was a App Store requirement in this case this last time I checked. Finally, password resets effectively email you a new password in plaintext(!!), which is an absolute security nightmare. Deleted.
This app was useful when it worked. All it does now is show a try again screen to login. It’s useless now.
After updated app, lost my devices, lost my credentials. Once start from the beginning, can’t connect to homeconnect network from dishwasher
The dishwasher does not respond as outlined in the instructions. So I can’t connect the app. If I try to manually start the dishwasher, no matter what buttonnI push, it defaults to Auto. Frustrating.
