Wonderful card game

FrogRockin77

I started playing this game when I couldn’t go to MTG tournaments with my husband anymore due to having a baby. I found this game because it reminded me of MTG. Then my husband started playing as well since we already had accounts from Blizzard anyway.. the characters are based on WoW. Since the new updates with the quests and getting more coins to play or buy without $ is great for anyone. The new modes are wonderful to play, my favorite is the duels...we, are the players that do buy the expansion decks just like you would for MTG.....I do recommend this game. I play on my laptop and my iPad. Thank you for making this a wonderful game.

I’ve played this game on and off for forever. You have to give it a chance

Creating decks is harder than it should. Making a custom you get confused because there’s no button to press to make a new one. Some characters had basic and custom decks, some were missing a custom deck option, and some character are just locked (even though I keep unlocking cards for one and I can’t find out how to unlock it without the PAYWALL). Game modes are fun but the game feels very one sided far too often. The RNG is either with you the entire game, against you the entire game, or it’ll switch at the very end for a disappointing lose. In arena (where you draft your deck) you rarely see rare difficulty card (as expected) but then you face off against players that have two or three ultra rare cards in their deck. In battlegrounds no matter what creatures you’re using you’ll always find the opposite. Most of the time you’ll spend coins refreshing because it showing you the same creature you didn’t want to buy before (even if no one else is running your set). If that wasn’t bad then the hero balancing in battlegrounds is even worse ruining the fun. Some hero’s are great early game and some are great late game. But once you’re in the late game when ever turn matters far more, your early game advantage hero is inevitably going to lose. Duel is fun but rarely can you add cards to your deck that actually help it, you’ll end up making decks that are based on luck than strategy. Like all free games theres a massive loot box system and because it’s hard to get cards for free. You’ll either have to grind the game harder than that random person at a rave, give up your money for a CHANCE to get decent card that’ll still lose to someone that’s given their life savings, or accept that fact that you won’t play anything but battleground and solo adventure because that’s the only time you feel it’s a fair fight.

Viable Free-to-Play

Too many free to play games hit a wall, eventually revealing themselves as a pay-to-win platform. Loving Hearthstone’s diverse and ever-supported gameplay offerings. Most importantly, no need to spend $$.

Great game!

Love the artwork, and the UI for iOS is great! Super fun gameplay, and Battlegrounds is completely addicting. Frustrating to see people reviewing Hearthstone poorly because they can’t win a game. I did NOT need to spend money to create competitive decks.

fun game but....

game is awesome just wish it was a little more F2P and easier for newcomers to start.

Worst game ever

The game has become less fun since the last major game change.

I’ve been playing this game for over 6 years, so I’ve put a bit of time into it and have even made purchases from time to time. It used to be you would earn 10 gold every three games and there would be daily quests that would also give gold. That was great. It was simple, straightforward, and allowed for a decent rate of booster pack purchases, especially for people who don’t have a lot of time to play. Obviously, someone at Blizzard didn’t like that, so a new “reward” system was introduced. At first, it also seemed to reward players fairly well and even gave credit to players doing solo adventures. There were gold rewards, skins, and the occasional booster pack to give players incentive to play the game. It was nice...until you reached the end of all the available rewards. At that point, it becomes a grind. You have to play and play and play some more to “level up” your reward rank in order to be given more gold. This level of sheer grinding is why I barely play the game anymore and would probably explain why the game’s rating is only 3.5 right now. I’d advise anyone curious about playing this game to find something that doesn’t require you to slog through matches in order to improve your gaming options.

Hate Battlegrounds

Hotwheels1000

I understand that a lot of people like battle grounds and that is great. I hate battle grounds and I am sure I am not the only one. Please stop putting in quests that I can not exchange that require me to do a battle ground.

Free game if you do not want to play ranked

Jimbo2245

I play this game a lot but only really play arena so this game is great for me in that mode
