Awesome app

If you are at all interested in tracking your heart rate during workouts, this app is for you. You can use default heart rate zones based on your age or if you feel those aren’t appropriate you can customize your zones. With the auto-import feature, workouts you start on your Apple Watch will show up in this app and workouts you start in the Heart Graph app will show up in your iPhone activity app. For every workout you can see a beautiful color coded graph of your heart rate showing what zones you were in and if you swipe the data area at the top of the graph you can see exactly how much time you spent in each zone. Once you’ve accumulated some workouts, the analysis function will show you how much time you’ve spent in each zone on a weekly and monthly basis. I’m 67 so theoretically my max heart rate is 153. I was hitting 165 in workouts with my trainer and then feeling totally wiped out for the next day or two. Heart Graph to the rescue. I used the alarm feature to warn me when I get to 145 heart rate so I can dial back my effort and keep my heart rate below 150. Now I get a great workout without feeling ill afterwards. I absolutely love this app. I have to warn you, when I first got the app I found it a bit confusing, but it didn’t take long to get the hang of it. Just have a bit of patience, play around with the features and you will be well rewarded. I recommend shelling out the $3 for the premium version immediately. It’s less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks and it’s a one time charge, not a monthly fee. Some of the features I mentioned above are only in the premium version so it’s well worth the price.

Not Great

Dogfishstorm

Many of the premium features are not all that useful and buried under pay screens even after you paid for the premium features. The effect is being constantly nagged for money even when you coughed up the money. Annoying.

Sweet app

Gives a great graph. I love to compare the graphs for an old workout to a new workout to see how my heart rate tracked during each session. Once you figure out the user interface it is a great tool. Awesome. Thanks for a cool app.

Easily compare workouts

besthiker

You can easily track your efforts over time for any activity that is a similar route (swimming, biking, walking, running). Look at trends or compare days of week or time if day.

Great app

App monitors my heart rate as I workout. It’s exactly what I was looking for & needing.

Great app

Lotus_xk

Way better than polar app that came with my polar HR monitor. Love that you can save data , write notes about what you were doing, zoom in and out, record for extended periods of time (like even overnight!). Has been very helpful for me! Highly recommend purchasing this app

Gem of an app

Flanneryo

Using this to monitor HR during daily activities. I need to keep HR <90 due to post-acute Covid issues. This alerts me in real time when HR goes too high. Can use with Apple Watch or polar chest strap. Can also chart my daily heart rate and calculates percent time spent in various HR zones. Simple and consistent.

Great app

Awesome app to monitor heart rate with polar h10 and even Apple Watch. By using it with Apple Watch it allows you to turn on continuous recording. Some recommendations: turn off graph smoothing and turn x axis to clock in settings. Great if you have a medical condition. I recommend developer change it around to make it more friendly with people who aren’t using it just for working out.

Should be included with the health app.

corpsemonger

This is the functionality that the Apple watch should come with for the heart rate sensor. App has difficulty handling long workouts on my iPhone 4s. Lots of room for improvement with intuitive functionality, in context operations and general convenience features.

HRV feature?

Aslan From the Narnia

I like this app, it’s very neat. I really really love to see these 2 features added: 1. HRV measuring 2. Automatic activity recognition? Do you guys think any one of these could happen in near future developments of the app?!
