The watch app no longer runs simultaneously with the apple watch workout app.

Runw/Link

the watch app no longer runs simultaneously with the apple watch workout app. If you start the watch heart graph app then the apple watch workout app, the heart graph watch app will still crash: “an error with the workout session occurred: another session is starting.” Another session never starts on its own. Now, if you start the apple watch workout app then the watch heart graph app, the apple workout app will stop without recording its session. PREVIOUSLY, if the heart graph app was started AFTER the apple workout app, both apps would run simultaneously.

Great App

Konnackal

Nicely executed app. Love the automatic scaling of time and heart rate. Would be even better is the app had the option of displaying heart rate graph on either a light or a dark background.

Doesn’t work

adria2020

I had to select the premium app twice- only paid once. After posting a review of this it now works. Appears to have the heart range zones I was looking for and it has the history of the work outs since I paid for the premium.

Very good App Gives you a visual overview of the workout Quite useful

Awesome

sponeill

Does exactly what I need! Great to be able to compare 2 workouts. Importing is a breeze.

HR zone alarms!

Christofer Williams

The data tracking and other features are okay, but they can be found in most other workout apps. Honestly, I haven’t spent much time playing with the reference sets, etc, so I can’t really comment on their usefulness. But the various heartrate alarm functions are fantastic, and for some bizarre reason, this (and setting your own HR zones) is something that RunKeeper and a lot of other workout apps don’t do. No more staring at my phone when doing a lot of aerobic capacity building. I just set the alarm at my AeT and have it tell me my heart rate every 30 seconds so I can stay right up against that limit on those endless runs. That alone makes this app worth having. One quirk that I’m a bit surprised by: when you change your HR zones (say, when updating your AeT or AnT after capacity-building phases), it changes them on ALL workouts you’ve recorded, not just future ones. You don’t lose the actual recorded data, but it does make the zone stats on historic workouts completely useless.

Best heart rate tracking app

Andrew Swihart

Coded by a true nerd, this app captures and displays your heart rate and allows you to visualize your data and compare it over time, even while filtering the data by different workouts that you do. This is far and away the best app I have found, particularly in terms of value and depth of features, for tracking your heart rate during workouts. Thank you for your contribution to humanity Smoky Cat Software!

Very good at what it does

JealousI

This app fits a very specific niche and is very good in this. I use it to compare, in graphical format the heart rate data from my various exercises. It syncs from the Health app so essentially all my workouts are available to analyze. I have used the counting function in the past to count kettlebell swings and cleans as well. Heart Graph doesn’t try to do it all and if you are a life hacker, this may be just what you are looking for to fill that data analysis void.

Great app.

I like the graphics of this app. They are easy to understand and easy to draw a conclusion with the info.

Best app for heart rate pacing

drt87

As someone living with chronic illness and uses heart rate pacing to monitor and limit activity that could increase my symptoms, Heart Graph is my *go-to.* Throughout the day, all I have to do to understand what my heart rate is doing is glance at my wrist. If I’ve gone over the heart rate I’ve set in the app, my watch beeps or vibrates immediately- faster than any other heart rate app out there- letting me know I need to sit, breathe for a minute, and decide whether I need to rest completely or continue with my activity. This app is *essential* for my day to day life.
