Literally the worst app ever
Match Data Corrupt
Slow to respond if at all. Commands take for ever to go through and sometimes you have to send the command multiple times. It’s not even worth it. Just wasted time and frustration.

Constantly have to connect and disconnect. App doesn’t work and is NOT user friendly at all.

Run far as far away from Hayward as you can. Don’t pay for the remote or the wireless for your cell phone just go to the box and turn it on and off and save yourself some money! neither work half the time - and that’s no exaggeration!
Worst pool application Ever!

Had this AquaConnect over 2 years. It’s the worst application in any category. Searching for alternatives to remotely operate our pool. Would give negative stars if I could.

Hayward should be embarrassed. All the negative reviews tell the story. I’ve limped along with this for three years, but now the app is inoperable. “Filter” light flashes on/off. Impossible to tell now via app wether heat is on or off. Even after rebooting system and reinstalling app. What kind of company puts out this kind of garbage? Doesn’t anyone there give a darn?

I don’t have this system or app because of all the wonderful recommendations I received, because I received none. I just had a pool put in my yard, and this is the system the supposedly #1 pool company in Orlando uses. This app is the most frustrating thing I have ever encountered. Right now it’s not working at all. I came out here to see if there is a necessary update, but no. Just rightfully negative reviews. If you have a choice, don’t go Hayward. If you don’t have a choice, don’t bother with the app.

I have had this pool control system for 2 years. It is pretty much useless. Nearly impossible to control the heater; takes 4-5 attempts to get it to turn on. If I turn the heater on from the control panel, then I can’t seem to turn it back off from the phone. I simply can’t believe that Hayward can’t figure out how to improve this control system. Please fix.

Good idea, but a fail in execution. App errors for failure to connect to server are daily. HUGE delay when changing a setting. Confusing to determine if app is in spa or pool mode.

It isn’t flashy and it isn’t fast, but it works as described for a lot less money than replacing your entire pool control system. Just be sure to follow the instructions and keep it within range of your pool and you should be good to go!

I am a swimming pool professional. I have installed hundreds of Pentair, Jandy, Hayward, and Intermatic automation systems for swimming pools over the past 25 years. This system is by far the worst system I’ve ever installed. There is no power indicator light on the tower. All other systems light up as soon as you plug them in. The system doesn’t work until you register it with Hayward. Most pool professionals that I know do not carry a laptop with them To accomplish this. Pentair screen logic works within 30 seconds of installation. After it is working, the delay time between pressing the button and actual functioning of system is way too long. Do not recommend!
