Changing my review

Still a good game but, man I have literally played free games that have taken me longer to finish!! To be fair, I haven't played the bonus chapter yet. However, I have also played BONUS chapters that were long than this game. Do not pay full price for this, or you will really be angry!

Haunted Hotel Phoenix- flaming hot!

Elephant Games did a good job on this one. Patterned on the mystery trackers series, you investigate paranormal sightings but unlike MT, you don't get a cute helper like elf. Also I really wish there was a diary in this one. Has custom difficulty available and transporting indicated map, labeled inventory, plus items. No left handed mode no diary. Gameplay is smooth and logical, 21 morphing objects to find and collecting statues. Good game though. No vermin so far. Verdict: worth playing - UPDATE: I also deducted a star for shortness of the game. Although the end was definitely a plot twist it was rather abrupt. Still wish it had a diary.

Great point and click/hidden object game!

For the hidden object scenes you can zoom in. The "map" consists of pictures with flags letting you know what you need to do. You can tap a picture and go directly to the location. The story line is very intriguing and the music sets the mood. There are figurines to collect and of course morphing objects. The hint hourglass will point you in the right direction. No demons or aliens. Everything I like so far!

As usual, Elephant gave us a wonderful and interactive story! There were a lot of collectibles: bird statues, morphing objects and puzzle pieces. You could customize your difficulty level, but no left-handed mode. The graphics were fantastic and the cut-scenes very realistic. All inventory was labeled and there were plus items to assemble. Loading was instantaneous between locations, and there was an excellent marked teleport map, if so customized. The HO scenes were varied, and I liked the puzzles and mini-games; it wasn't only boring rotational nonsense! There was no diary, but your objectives were regularly updated. The game flowed well and played flawlessly. It had an unusual bonus adventure, and there was a secret room. There was only one rodent at the beginning in a cut-scene so I was happy about that! The only reason I deducted a star was that it was a very short game, even with the bonus adventure! I loved this game so much I wish it had been twice as long! Lynxie sends love to the amazing Dream Team, especially Dracyy, KimT, Opinion, Sunshine Susie and Snooper! Happy gaming, everyone! ❤️??

Good

Don't Get Burned At This Hotel! You May Never Check Out!

UPDATE: I deducted a star due to offensively short length of main game. It only took me two hours, and I am a slow player. Off to play the bonus. You are a detective who travels to mountainous northern Oregon to the Stone Spires Hotel where a deadly fire broke out years ago when it was still a university; it was believed to have been started by either an arsonist or a mystical, fiery Phoenix. Now strange sightings of fiery birds flying in the sky are occurring, and a menacing hooded figure is following your every move. The graphics are portrayed through a palette of darker colors, such as purples, blues, and browns to create a mysterious, creepy ambiance while you explore your surroundings. The artwork is clear but ever so slightly grainy; the scenes are appropriately embellished with dark, spooky, abandoned ruins accompanied by haunting music and sound effects. There are several modes of difficulty including the option to customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The fast teleport map indicates current tasks in custom mode; the indication mechanic appears to be synonymous to immediate available actions. Transition between scenes is smooth and glitch free. There is no journal, but you pick up reading materials to inform you of the story as you progress. There is no back button, but transition is not hindered in this game. The HOS are varied and interactive; several types are word lists with interaction, uncover the pairs of items, and find silhouette shapes. The puzzles are varied and unique as well. One type is to adjust bumpers on a tennis court to move a ball past the right side player; another type is to stack objects of multiple sizes and shapes on a wall to fit into cells in order to climb up through the manhole. They are fun! There are also some micro puzzles peppered throughout, such as find three parts of an item to complete a whole. There's lots to do in this game, including making chemicals; you collect or use a multitude of inventory items in each scene. You collect morphing objects in some scenes; you must stare for a while to find them, which adds to the challenge. You also collect bird figurines and jigsaw puzzle pieces scattered throughout. Unfortunately, you do not play a jigsaw puzzle; the puzzle completes itself. The extras include art, collections, replays, and a secret room, which is actually quite fun and different this time. Overall, I find this installment to be smooth, glitch free, has varied puzzles/HOS, and an interesting storyline. Just wish it were longer.

Fantastic!

Loved the game! The puzzles were nice and varied, the HOS clear and easy to see and the storyline well done. I always love Elephant Games! Keep it up BF! The only problem I have with it was the length of the game, it was rather short.

Great game

This game is so much fun. I gave it 4 stars because it kicked me out once, but still a fun game as long as I don't get kicked out anymore.
