Use your spell-power to uncover treasure chest keys. Rely on your deductive skills to unlock troves for the tools you need to search Pirate Island for clues to the final puzzle.

Happi & The Pirates is a fast paced and visually stunning learning game aimed at teachers and families with children in elementary school. It takes cues from acclaimed hit games such as Happi Spells and Happi 123 but raises the bar on both these games as well as the whole children’s educational game genre.

In order to solve the final puzzle and open the pirates’ treasure you and your child/students must prove your worth in a wide variety of disciplines such as:

• Spelling
• Math
• Logical Thinking
• Deductive Reasoning
• Puzzle Solving
• Word Building

Happi & The Pirates is a great learning activity for both home and school. Timed activities in the game can be disabled for a more school appropriate learning environment. The app also lend itself to interesting student/teacher discussions with its creative twists on spelling, problem solving and word construction.

This is a great app for spelling and object recognition.

Engaging App
Bagj2011

I just downloaded this app and am very excited to have my children use it. The graphics are great and the picture tutorial on how to play is a helpful way to engage the learner right away. Having to find the map pieces after unlocking the treasure chests was fun and challenging. I find myself wanting to do more, I can only imagine what my 7 and 4 year old will do! Logic plays a big role as well as deduction when figuring out where each word has been hidden.

Love this app!

Great puzzle app that is hard to put down. Super graphics, no ads to distract you. Several activities keep you engaged; love the idea of reverse crossword puzzle, it really helps you think about the word spelling. Elementary age through adult will enjoy!

This is a great app with challenging app-ortunties!! Happi & The Pirates practices the skills of identifying pictures and logically placing the letters to spell the names of the pictures. The graphic are well done and opening the pirate treasure adds to the fun. Fun for young learners.

Very Fun - Diverse Game
Bosstone75

This is a really excellent game for your average 4-8 year old. It's a new way to have kids think about spelling and provides all sorts of diverse challenges and learning opportunities. I could see how this app might be frustrating to learners with special needs due to all of the different challenges. A learner with special needs might not know what they're supposed to do on each different activity and may get frustrated.

Great graphics

This puzzle game encourages students to use logical thinking and reinforces spelling skills. The graphics are very cute. The music, however, was a little annoying after a few minutes. My biggest criticism of this game is that I'm not sure what age range the app is designed for. A younger child (pre-reader) is simply going to guess- not necessarily learn how to spell any words in the crossword puzzle activity. I think a younger child would also be very frustrated by the number of puzzle pieces and would need help figuring out which key goes with which treasure chest. An older child may lose interest quickly with the repetitive nature of the game. After playing for several minutes, it appeared to be the same game over and over, just different words.

Addictive!

Addictive and fun! Excellent resource for basic spelling, math and spatial development. Kids solve the spelling puzzles while avoiding mines. Then they move on to the pirate challenge which involved math and matching. From there, they earned puzzle pieces that are lined up spatially. Well worth the money!

Fun app

This was a really neat app. I think some kids might get frustrated with the treasure chests as they try to figure out what is the key to solve the puzzle. Love the entire concept of a treasure hunt in the game.

Happy and Engaging!

This app offers a variety of challenges that will engage children of ages 6-9. Young users will practice spelling, logic, basic math (glad it included multiplication) and spatial concepts through a crossword puzzle. It would be nice if you keep save your "work" in the game as it takes at least 30-40 minutes (or more) to get through.
