Great workout app

sj0900

I've used this app for over 3 years and it's only gotten better over the years & with each update. The developers are responsive & frequently updated the app. If your kooky for an app that's very customizable this one will definitely help you.

Best Overall Workout Log

Ofernandez

Initially the learning curve for Gym Goal is a little steep, but once mastered, it becomes obvious that this is only Gym log you'll ever need.

My favorite logging app

By far my favorite workout app. I've dabbled with other over the years but always wind up back with this one.

Best routine tracker of all that I've tried

Nevalla

Over the years, I've tried several iOS fitness tracking apps, and for overall tracking of routines and statistics I keep coming back to Gym Goal. It is continually updated, and after adding the ability to have multiple routines listed per day, it's nearly perfect for my needs. Back to 5 stars (from 4): issues are resolved very quickly.

This is the best workout routine app!

I've been using GymGoal Pro for a couple of weeks now and I'm very impressed with its features and flexibility. I had been using 'FitnessFast' for years but it has not been updated since 2014 and I wanted something new and fresh. I tried 'Workout' by Fitness22 and was underwhelmed, especially given the premium pricing (no ability to add your own exercises, could not add sets to a routine on the fly during a workout and cardio data is completely lacking) and I was surprised when I emailed the developers and told them they had misspelled "elipitial" (sic) and was told that they might correct the misspelling if enough others asked for it. What? So I purchased GymGoal Pro and this is a keeper! There are so many useful features that getting up to speed may take some time (a 'dry-run' feature that provides hands-on learning and practice outside of the gym would be helpful). You can modify the routines and exercises that come with the app and create your own routines and exercises. Interfaces with smart bluetooth heart rate monitors and provides current HR and a graph of HR for entire routine. Easy to add or subtract additional sets during your workout and can record different weight, reps and rest time for each set. Nice log to enter text notes that impressed me -- I was noting in the log "last to exhaustion" and after a few entries I noticed the text editor suggested "Last" after I entered "L" then it suggested "to" and "exhaustion". Smart! The user interface is rich with information and fairly intuitive. History is easy to access either by date or by muscle. Easily worth the price and when you add in the flexibile and customizable features, this app is a bargin.

Need work

Could use some work.

Good Solid Workout Tracker

bravebell

There is a bit of a learning curve. But it is a solid app. Calculates your 1 RM automatically based on your weight, reps and sets. Routines are easy to schedule once they are created. Can accommodate up to 4 training sessions per day - more than enough for most gym-goers.

New Update APP WON'T OPEN!!!

Absolutely fantastic. Love Gym Goal 2. I use it every workout. It just keeps getting better. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. I really can't say enough good things about it.

My Suggestions

MuddyNikes

This is the best workout app out there. I have a few suggestions to make it even better: Make use of the widget screen on iPhone. You could use it to show a calendar of upcoming workouts. Or maybe even have the tracker run from there. Or even the rest timer. Just some ideas. I'd like to see more body weight and plank exercises added. I do these when on my days off from the gym. I also use tension bands, seeing those added to the equipment and exercise list would be great additions. I like the addition of the stretches! Thanks for the quality app!
