Excellent. Some updates'd be welcome

I've been using it a long time. And it's suitable in my workout. It needs a little maintenance. Seems it has been abandoned. With iOS native dark mode it became a little mess cause you can't see some text (white in background and text color in text field) I hope it receive some updates to fix it and more. Also add some exercises would be nice. It doesn't happen in while. Still is my preferred gym app

Overall the best I’ve found for weight training

I’ve tried a few different apps and always end up back to this one. It’s been on my phone for many years. The last 6 months or so I started using it 3 or 4 times every week and I’m finally(!) starting to get the hang of it. There is a learning curve but once you get it... it all makes sense. A 5 minute YouTube vid on how to set up and use properly would be very helpful to new users. I really like how I can configure it to my needs. That said, I’m sure I am still not using it to it’s full potential. I like the tracking and backing up to my iPad. I haven’t used the watch function but might start messing with it. I think this app does weight training better than any other one out there. I haven’t tried the pro version. I would like to support the developer but, after reading some of the pro reviews, I’m not sure I want to poke the bear just yet. This version has been working so well.

Using this app since 2011

This is been by far the best app for tracking my workouts I have ever used. Occasional glitch here or there over the past six years but other than that it has been flawless!

Great app.

I have been using gymgoal since early gymgoal 1. It has always been a very well rounded app. I'm surprised version 2 doesn't get more air play. In other words, be considered one of the premier Workout apps on the market. I seem to have tried all the workout tracking apps. Really, I tried even the downright junk tracking apps. But I always come back to gymgoal 2. Case in point. I stopped lifting for almost 2 years due to a severe injury. When it was time to get back into the gym, I looked to see what new workout tracking Apps were on the market. I was now living in a new city, with a new job, and working out in anew gym, so I thought, why not try a new gym tracking app? I downloaded all the usual suspects, but it always seemed like there were one or two issues with those apps that Gymgoal 2 seemed to solve. Plus some of the work out apps that are considered premier apps where just horrific when inputting sets and reps. Not seeing anything new on the market of any substance, or that worked for me, I opened Gymgoal 2 and I've never looked back. Honestly I don't know why I would ever look at another gym tracking app. Gymgoal 2 seems to have it together while others seem to struggle with the very basics. Like user interface! I hope one day soon Gymgoal 3 comes out. I will be that Version in a New York minute. Also, I contacted the developer recently and found out that my issue was simply user error. Serge got back to me straight away, and got me all fixed up. I recently paid $9.99 for another app, contacted the developer twice, but they never responded to me to me once. Serge got back to me straight away. Sure, be like me and download every Workout tracking app known to mankind, but you will come back to Gymgoal 2 because it just plain works. And it does the job nicely. Thanks for a great app Serge and for even better customer service.

Great app

Love this app. I have used it for many years to track my workouts. Lots of options to choose from in terms of exercises by type with example videos as well as graphs and trending, plus rest timers and note taking. Thanks!

Still the best there is

Although this app is buggy, still crash every time I close my iPhone, and in desperate need for a face lift, i don't get the loss of the screen real estate for what ever heart rate monitor the developer is trying to push, and the timid and almost useless Apple Watch integration, this app remains the most versatile and useful one out there. The super control on times between sets is the best. And once you get used on the short comings of the app, it is still complicated to edit a routine on the go, and the frequent crashes and how to save what is left from your workout this app become the best of the best.

Nice App
