If you play or will play, guitar

Craigg

If you play or will play, the Guitar you should get this app it’s meant you. You will end up over time know Music Theory and standard/Tab music notation. You can get a subscription and pay for your music that way. I mean monthly. Or you can just buy them song by song. Your favorites, you want to know. The app Guitar Pro players the music very well and you can adjust things like the speed it’s playing so you can play along with it. You can also adjust which instrument is playing and mute the main guitar, but let the bass and drums. Now, you are playing that song with a backup band.

No BPM Control

Toxicwaltz8

It’s a usefull mobile app but lower your expectations about the interface. It’s good for practicing only, you can’t write/edit. Basically, I’m editing the files on my pc if I’m planning to send to my mobile. +mobile, easy to use everyhwere +good for practicing if you don’t mind the BPM control. (you can increase/decrese the speed between 0.2x and 2.0x values... seriously?) And I wonder if anyone who doesn’t care the BPM, what they going to do with this app? It’s not for fun as the same as pc version. This could be the best practicing app... lower your expectations if you are planning to get this. -No writing -No BPM control -UI Worst-idea-ever award goes to: speed slider (I was here for 3 stars actually)

Fantastic app

I bought this about a year ago and use it almost daily. It is a great tool for learning that I have yet to find. It is intuitive, simple to use and has all the features I could want. There are millions of songs available on the net for free and most of the paid sites offer their files in GP format. It is also ridiculously underpriced. Keep up the great work guys!

Could be better.

Great for learning songs, TERRIBLE for trying to compose your own. Constant glitches and deletes sections of songs at a time.

Good updates but needs finer tempo control

Dmm138

You can only speed up or slow down the tempo by 10%. There is a big difference in BPM incremented by 10%. If you have a song that’s 180 BPM, and you slow down by 10%, you’re down to 162 BPM. There is currently no way to adjust between those tempos. That’s a huge jump when you’re trying to learn a difficult section. Also if you are practicing a section and have several tracks muted, if you minimize the app then open it later, all the muted tracks have been changed to solo tracks and you have to go back and re-mute them. Please fix these issues.

Doesn’t like at all or doesn’t understand!

Hidden Monthly Fee!? For what?

Flomaticc

Purchased this app thinking it would really help with my guitar and it wasn’t a bad app but juts now it charged me $14 as a monthly reoccurring fee. What a joke, Yet another greedy app wanting monthly charges LOL you do NOT HELP THE GUITAR COMPANY AT ALL. It’s upsetting when apps like this that could help start stealing from you. $300 a year? LOL that’s how much you think this is worth? Ableton live and pro tools industry standard programs that have a ONE TIME FEE. Bad business and engineers who could careless about us Guitar artists. Seriously. Don’t buy this app getting my refund right now. Buy an app that doesn’t look for monthly charges because they exist and are better than this junk

Horrible

ivango

I thought I could add my own existing music and have been trying and this is useless

I really want this to work

Kona_Tom

I compose and arrange music using Guitar Pro on my desktop for my Ensemble. Excellent piece of software. I purchased numerous copies of this iPad version of Guitar Pro so my players could practice our pieces. The ability to loop sections, change tempo, and mute various parts make this an attractive practice solution. Mostly it works but the drum track is a disaster. The drums don’t play the same sounds as the desktop version. In fact many drum “notes” are silent on the iPad version. There also doesn’t seem to be any method of contacting the vendor for support.
