Great idea, terrible app

muna0001

First I’ll specify this review is for the paid upgrade for the city tour. I thought this would be fun while we’re in Palm Springs during covid to see some fun houses. The app had the idea right, there was fun houses to see but using the app was a nightmare. First, it uses it own navigation in the app, not app or Google and it’s awful to say the least. There is no option to take the location and open it in another mapping app. Then I tried to copy and paste the address from the app to bring it to Google, well you can’t highlight any text to copy an address so after my $4.99 I was held hostage by their terrible robot map. My kids were yelling at me in the back seat to turn her voice off but I couldn’t because the map didn’t show up in CarPlay so I had to continually look down at my phone to make sure I was on the right path. I’m not angry enough to ask for my money back but I’m angry enough to spend 10 minutes writing a review in hopes that others don’t make the same mistake.

I use this app everyday when travelling

I have spent the last 57 days in Europe in 9 countries, and this app has made for an amazing trip!! I love how it makes day planning so easy. The best part is that the app creates suggestions, and routes for you. In every place they have a short description, and tips for visiting. I could not recommend this app enough!

Horrible

Bought the upgrade to do an architectural walking tour of the top “11 architectural gems of Pittsburg”. Not only did it miss the mark and take me to irrelevant buildings in the city, it totally missed more architecturally significant buildings that would have been much more interesting to learn about and view. Had my husband and I not done more homework, we would have wasted a day. Not worth the money and the free version doesn’t allow you to use the map.

Completely useless

The information about the stops on this app is absolutely useless. It doesn’t even try to give historical context or sharp detail, just general info that really makes no sense. Don’t waste your $5.

Great app, worth the $$

We went on a cruise to Nassau and wanted to see the city, but not take an excursion. The app took us to many of the same places as the ship excursion did. The walks were well made, had great explanations of the sights and were easy to follow. Since you have the option to download the maps, you don’t need a cell signal (GPS is always on) and can orient yourself quickly. One thing I would like to see a “next stop button” to take you to the next point in the tour rather than backing out and selecting a new one. Great job Devs!

I have used this app the past 6 or 7 years to Athens, Istanbul, Rome, Venice, Florence, Dubrovnik, Kotor,,,. Prior to each trip, I would pin all my attractions, restaurants and hotel locations. Never lost with this app. Best part is the app does not depend on wifi to use the maps once they’re downloaded.

Really nifty little app—some features are a bit inconsistent, like the route finder, but the walking tours themselves are fantastic—easy to navigate with loads of interesting local history and detail. Highly recommended!!

I love it

Perfect for Sightseeing

I’ve used this app for at least 10 years and have not been disappointed. It allows me to see things I would have never thought to see in over 20 countries, so far. Super easy and very in-depth.

Useful if you want to avoid groups

Has a lot of great informative articles and walking tours. A much better option than taking group tours in every city. You can go at your own pace and get directions to all the spots even if you don’t have wifi.
