I use this app for my business and while I can FINALLY see when someine is calling my business line and not my personal phone, the fact that texts/calls only show up as the number and not the name is beyond confusing when I'm trying to run a business. Not to mention I can't edit someone's name from the app, or leave a group chat.

I been using this for my voip home phone port now for about 4 years.. not texting or anything else just phone .and it’s been working great for years now . Sure it might have gotten a few hiccups here and there through the years but google fixed it. Doesn’t cost me anything Extra it’s free. I think it’s one of the best apps. I have been very happy with it. And I thank google for having it. Good job google.. 5 stars should be 10...?❤️

Default browser setting is not respected

This is the only app on the AppStore that refuses to use the default browser setting and instead offers me to install chrome or use safari when I click on links. Annoying!

I love Google Voice. Does everything I want in a second phone line plus some... EXCEPT... I wish there was some indication on the incoming call screen that showed it was a google voice call. Incoming calls by google are identical to regular incoming calls. I wish there was a visual indication so I could tell which system the call is coming through.

It didn’t have a number in my area so I had to pick the closest area instead. There’s no voice option without calling. And if your just going to call someone anyway you can use your standard phone to do that. I might have to request my voice account be deleted because there’s no voice for texting. It won’t play my voice in the text I mean. So the name of this app is misleading.

Google needs to do something about the number of spam callers who go on places like Craigslist or similar to try to scam people into verifying their phone number for the scammer to use in other nefarious ways. Online market places are completely overrun with these ploys, and in an age where I can’t even pick up the phone from an unknown number without being told my social security number was used for bank robbery, it’s googles responsibility to take some ownership of the role they play in this.

It works fine, but one cannot hear anything, and no way to increase the volume! So it is basically useless!

On the older GV browser and app, we could add a ‘star’ for any favorite conversations/numbers with the messages, but that is also missing in the newer versions. Please add that feature (similar to Hangouts). Also we need a way to edit and create contacts on the GV app without having to login through a browser. Back in the day, we could see the ‘city and state’ next to the phone number when I was texting or calling (to know if it’s a random spam number or something I’ve never heard of before). But now its missing unless I go to the ‘legacy’ version on the browser. Bring it back please on the browser and show it on the app as well!

I used this app back in 2013-14 for my business and it worked very well. It no longer screens calls and the only calls I get on it are spam and scammers. It has become a waste of time.
