It’s now becoming hard to use

It’s almost impossible to texts repeatedly, I have had to sign up for like 5 accounts and it’s tiring to be honest. Why do you suspend accounts just because I sent a message to remind someone of something? That’s really bad and believe me this recent version is annoying and displeasing to use. I hope you guys get to improve this app cos it’s giving me headaches already to be honest!!!!

It used to be that when someone texted you through Google Voice the app would notify you of the new text. Apparently that’s not a feature anymore. I just looked after someone called and found there are texts from four days ago I was not notified of. I see no way of enabling this in the settings. Update. Google support contacted me and told me to look in the iOS settings for disabled notifications. I did. Everything was enabled. Since I opened the app it seems to be working as it should. Perhaps after rebooting iOS Voice needs to be opened to initialize the program settings? Maybe it’s an iOS hiccup?
I hate this app, I use it for work.

There is still no mass delete option in text. Infuriating. My job is coming out with a text app for our phones so luckily I can delete this trash as soon as that’s out. contacts don’t delete from the app. So now when I search a contact IN the app, double the amount of people show up when I type a name because even though I delete the contact from my actual contacts list on my connected device, it does not ever get removed from the app. And there is no feature to block contact in app. I can’t block them on my connected device because they have already been deleted!

The app does not work at all. You cannot answer using the app and calls are dropped all the time. Everybody is complaining about it but there is always the same useless developer ‘s response: check here. If maybe the developer worked on actually fixing the app rather than using the same canned answer for everyone and realised the app is badly broken, they would stop getting 1-star reviews all the time. Google has no customer service anymore.

It takes half a minute to start and load the main screen, and 10s more to assign names to recent calls. And eats CPU all this time. I admit, I’m one of the early adopters, so my history is long. But it doesn’t have to load all of it, right? Edit: thank you for your gener…ic response, reinstalling helped for the most part. But I’ve had this problem on multiple phones for a long time, I’m sure it will come back when it accumulates enough local data.
