The app is significantly slower than other apps at opening web pages. Almost half the time when it tries to open a page it crashes saying the content can’t be displayed.

This is my daily read, it continuously learns and gets better at picking relevant news that one cares about. I monitor several overseas news sources such as Aljazeera and really appreciate that they are available. A couple of improvements would make it even better. One would be to remove annoying news sites that require subscriptions even though they are not marked as such. NPR, San Jose Mercury, Santa Cruz Sentinel are examples. The other is to remove the irrelevant or not credible news sites that usually have a very small print and barely legible unrecognizable logos and present regurgitated clickbait news, several examples of this are in the physics and science categories.
Good at targeting news, poor at formatting

Google News is good at finding articles of interest to me, but the formatting of the articles is very inconsistent across sources and within articles. Also, Google News can’t seem to remember any of my subscriptions, so even sources I subscribe to are blocked by paywalls or I have to log in again every day.
Good but a little glitchy

I use this app every day and it’s very helpful. However, one really big gripe I have is that when I open an article and press the back button, sometimes it scrolls all the way back up and I lose my place. Please fix this
Sad App! Not worth Downloading, Just collect your data

This app has way too many problems. 1. If you read a couple of articles and then open a third article, the app jumps all the way to the very top of the list and you lose what you were reading and where you were at. 2. The app is not updated. All the articles are from 20 hours ago to 4 or 5 days ago. Someone’s not doing their job. 3. If you choose the option hide all stories from, close the app and reopen the app. Those articles come right back. 4. If you choose see your stories like this close the app reopen the app all those articles come right back. 5. App does not remember anything. Including who I am following. 6. I explained in multiple messages to the head of Google News, these msgs go un answered and problems are unresolved. Obviously Google doesn’t care at All, so time to stop using us app. App has pop-ups, so they make money from people using this app as well as collecting data points on us.
Not working on IOS

This app worked very well on android until I bought my iphone. Now when I return to the main page after finishing reading an article in google news, it sends me to the top of the news. Top of the app is somewhat white half of the time although the app interface is black. I don’t know there are so many other issues.

The news selected for this aggregator is so slanted it’s almost laughable. The editors have an agenda. Br careful what you read and believe from this app. It seems they are trying to mold your mind to their agenda. Brainwashing you!

I look at Google News first when I’m looking for a balanced look at what’s going on. The site is clean and easy to navigate. I can explore links as I desire. Problem is, it’s unstable and often goes blank. Quite frustrating. I’ve close out all old places I’d visited, but the problem comes back like a bad penny.
“Subscription needed” notice in title

Too many headlines require a subscription to read. You don’t know this until you click on the story. Sometimes you can’t go back and you have to close the app and start over.
