Too many flaws and glitches so far on the game.

I do not understand what is going on with this app but there are too many glitches when it’s time to scroll throughout the map to navigate as well as the map orientation. More importantly the direction the map points towards as it’s giving navigational directions to any location. I stopped using Apple Maps a long time ago and I am a huge user of google maps since I travel a lot for work. But I’ve been considering exploring other options and start contributing in something more reliable that it does not makes me get lost most of the time. These are flaws that did not used to happen before. Maybe Google needs to ease on spending money exploring our algorithms and listening to users and spend that money on perfecting their products to keep people connected.

For the love of god stop moving the map around when I try to scroll. I want to see the next turn and the map does a 180 and zooms in to see my neighbors dick before I can control it again. Quit.

New Update Lost Features

One of the reasons that I love this app is that I can use a finger to easily swipe on the map while navigating to see what's ahead. After the latest update when I touch the map instead it starts to adjust the orientation of the map which is very frustrating. Why would anyone prefer that? I would imagine that if most people are trying to touch the map and move it with their finger they want it to move with them. If you want to change the map orientation there's already the compass image on the right side of the screen.

Functionality is bad on iOS

I just switched back to an iOS based device from an android. Unfortunately apple doesn’t have the ability to import xls and csv files into their map program, so I’ve had to continue trying to use google maps from my iOS device since I don’t have an alternative yet. For my work I have to go to 40-50 different locations per assignment usually about 20 a day on average. Now I love that google maps has the capabilities to import documents and make a saved map, but the functionality on iOS compared to android is severely lacking. I open the app, open my saved map POIs, click on a destination for directions, when I arrive the only option it has is “Done” which takes me back to the beginning of basically opening the app. This causes me to have to load up the saved map again, zoom into my location or next location (which zooming sometimes kicks me out of the saved map back to the main screen too), and then start the whole process back over each time. Usually I have to fight with the app for a few minutes each time before I get it to give me directions to the next location, now for the average user I’m sure they won’t run into this problem but it adds an extra hour at times to my entire days work, cutting into my overall effectiveness and essentially my pay. I get that apple and google don’t play well together, but why even put the app in the Apple App Store if it’s going to not function anywhere near the same. Other than that, I generally love googles products...but if this is the functionality I should come to expect from your products with iOS based devices I might have to consider switching over to something that plays more friendly with apple.

App keeps shutting down

I have the iOS iPhone XR and this mainly the app I use for directions but for the past couple of weeks it been acting funny. The app has been shutting down before I can enter the address or while in the middle of destination it shut downs. PLEASE FIX ASAP!!
