Hate new icon sets

Very confusing. Google, don’t change icons! Decide on the best icon theme and stay with it.

Don’t use their CTA trip planner!!!!!!!

You can not safely nor successfully rely on the CTA trip planner to get you anywhere on time while trying to proactively avoid inclement weather. It tells me I have to take 2 buses to get to my destination at a certain time, then ONLY suggests the bus that arrives 20 mins after the 2nd transfer. I’m upset and I’m probably not making any sense.. but that’s because I’m waiting in the Chicago cold for a bus that left 20 mins earlier, even tho I followed the instructions to a T! I wish I could add an image

I have used Google maps for years and loved it! With that said...something has happened that I really don’t like. When you hit start for a specific location it automatically goes to the written directions and you can’t see the map within canceling your trip! WTH The whole purpose is to see the map. I really want to love it again. Please fix it!

The new update when panning during navigation is not intuitive. When navigating, panning should not immediately change the direction/view.

Google maps has been one of the most reliable and bug-free app I’ve ever used for years, until the previous update. Since the last update (October 2020) the app started having erratic behavior, inaccurate location, and in the worst cases it shows ghost roads that doesn’t exist. After I set a destination and a specific route, the app arbitrarily changes the route to an alternate one, while driving. That never happened before, the app used to respect the user decision to use one specific route. Also when I want to pan-zoom the map after a route has been set, the app start zooming in arbitrarily to my current location and it’s not allowing me to freely see the route surroundings without taking me back to my current location. Please note that most of the times this happens while the user is driving and cannot be distracted handling a stubborn app. Yesterday I had to drive through an area with no cellular signal, so I set the route in advance. In the middle of nowhere the app arbitrarily changed the route to a ghost road that doesn’t exist (showed a freeway in the middle of the Cascades mountains in Washington State!). I ended up giving up and had to rely in the old fashion paper road map. Someone in the developers team needs to take urgent action regarding these serious problems, less experienced users could have even fatal outcomes from this horrific version update of the app.

New update is awful, nothing works!

I have used google maps for many years. This last update a couple weeks ago has completely ruined this app. I can’t even choose to drive myself, it takes me to a city an hour away then to my destination & gives me a time of 11 min to my destination that’s at least an hour away. Please fix this!

Bluetooth call as voice does not work iphone8 plus

While playing the radio, the Bluetooth phone comes in but instead of announcing directions it displays error message “audio is turned off” and hangs up immediately. If Bluetooth as voice is not enabled then it only works in Bluetooth audio mode in Car , which means I can’t listen to radio and get directions.

i had a mile long list of issues with this. now i only have one. no ability to signout. insane. im replacing google maps & apple maps. for the last time apple maps has lead me to a place that isnt there and google maps doesnt give me any control. its done. your times at the top are over as of today.
